I'm not sure how real it is. The domain name theonlywayisbirmingham.co.uk is owned by South Birmingham College. I'm guessing it's probably just a viral marketing stunt.

It's further north than Essex last I checked, Mr Rand McNally. Jog on with your textbook, I'm sure someone somewhere hasn't parked exactly in the lines in some car park space. I just found it funny you made a joke about how the stars of "The only way is Birmingham" are probably thick and ignorant which is probably true but when you said it you made an ignorant comment referring to Birmingham as the north.

I find it funny you find this argument pointless, and don't tell me it's all relative because there are plenty of recognised Northern cities: Newcastle, Leeds, Sheffield, Liverpool, Manchester.

Birmingham is not one of these, it's a midlands city. Also you're "upp norrth" expression made no sense either because it's not as if people have northern accents in Birmingham. They have a specific Midlands accent.
