(The store must have been using a Foxsat-HDR when they demonstrated this feature a while back, and I'm sure they said it was the same on all Freesat HD boxes/TVs)
See my edit regarding Freesat and Freesat+. A friend has my Foxsat-HD, next time I get down to see her I will see what it does with CH4.

I assume your friends Foxsat-HD will display the same as my friends - (unless the regional variations make a difference)

Seems sense that the option is there for PVRs, as you mentioned. (My TV has 'PVR' functionality with USB HDD)

It's kinda of useful to have the reminder that the programme also exists in HD, especially as the HD channels in the EPG may be a few page clicks away from the SD channeI.

I was kind of hoping that you would be able to swap channels with a variation.

i.e. swap 104 with CH4HD , or 103 with another regional's version (without change postcode)

The LG TVs allowed you to do this. (even allowing you to remove the Genre option)

Please accept our apologies, but we are unfortunately unable to fully understand the nature of your question.
I didn't ask a question.... I informed them that i didn't have a Humax HDR (after they said I did) and that it was untrue that CH4 doesn't include the SD/HD information in their EPG data, where a Humax HDR confirmed that it does https://www.adrive.com/public/QAzn2N/DSC00390.JPG.

Also that Panasonic manual states "If a programme exists in both HD and SD broadcasts, the "View Option" screen will be displayed to select HD or SD broadcast."
