Far Cry 3.

Pre-ordered Far Cry 3 last month, I'm a little disappointed that the release date has been put back almost 12 weeks.

Suppose its better having a bug free release though, its scheduled to be released in Europe before the States, is that unusual ?

I must admit, I'm pretty gutted that this has been delayed, had it on pre-order since early in the year! I wonder how much the delay will effect how the game sales? With the game now not out until November 30th I may end up cancelling my pre-order as there are two many other games out that month that I want over this. September was a good month for this to release but now I think that this may suffer compared to if it had released as initially intended on September 7th!

Think you might be right, seems a stupid time to release it now! Especially when u have AC:3, Black Ops 2, Halo 4 and Hitman: Absolution all coming out just before this now!

Only if you have the intention of playing any of those games.

AC3 will get purchased eventually, rest not bothered.

Hitman, Halo and Borderlands are the only definites this year, so far.



GTA 5 is the mystery bonus prize.

I do have the intention of playing them except for Halo 4! That's my point! If this game was out in September I would have bought it on release, however, now that it's not out until 30/11 I already have black ops 2 and Hitman absolution on pre-order and would rather have these as day 1 purchases than far cry 3! Therefore i won't be geting it now! I also want to play AC3 but unfortunately do not have a tree in my garden that money grows on so I have to pick and choose which means Far cry 3 loses out aswel as this! I just think if far cry 3 wasn't delayed then it would have sold a lot more units based on its competition that month which quite frankly wasn't a lot.

yes but people have different tastes, so some people moaned like hell last year due to lots of games at once, September to November - I bought one a month and wondered why they were moaning.

TBH the only games announced I am excited for are The Last Of Us, Farcry 3, and Bioshock Infinite

I agree with Sparky. Far Cry will definitely struggle to shift units now. It might have anyway with the popularity of Borderlands and B2 released only 2 weeks after the proposed release of FC3, people would probably be saving for that.

Like last year, I'm just glad I have a bit of disposable income so I can nerd it up with Borderlands 2 and get the Ultimate Loot Chest.
