As interesting as you must find the Morrissey debt thing, WTF has it got to do with this?
Started reading that expecting something about the program.

Everytime I saw Hilton (Gates's boss) I expected him to act like Jamie in the Thick of it.

Best drama since The Shadow Line!
Ah the Shadow Line, that was a odd but enjoyable journey, once you bought into their world.
Not enough shots of Kierston wareing's bum while running, though

Might not be a poor writing thing; at this stage. That fact might crop up with super-cop at a later date.

Or not...

Yes, a lot happening. Unlike the American watching paint dry type stuff.

I'll give them the benefit of the doubt for now. It's just that I work with software where the records need to be kept for legal purposes and you just cannot delete or edit anything without there being a full audit trail of what was changed and who, why and when it was done.

Oh my giddy aunt.
His debts have got nothing to do with his acting in this piece or the character.
Why does that need spelling out, it's clear enough in my post isn't it?
Don't answer.

What rattled your cage?, keep your pathetic whining to yourself, this is DS where people post opinions and bit of that may contain information others may not be aware of.

For a Prince you know SFA about manners and decorum and even less about forum respect.

I liked Lennie James, Adrian Dunbar and the plot twists a lot but the rest of the cast left me a bit cold.

I think it's going to be a great series though as I liked where the story was going.

Far from it ,i heard he was going against type and challenging himself with the role, and the cast appears top notch so i'm expecting good things. I normally don't take a punt on BBC Two drama but Moses Jones changed that and now i'm going to enjoy my Line of Beauty.

Except that she works in the same office as Gates which for Hastings will be enough 'evidence'!

Is there any reason at the moment for anybody to go looking at the audit trial. Perhaps somebody does that later on.

I bet that woman whose computer it was (Rita?) will mention the identification of the victim to one of the other cops sooner or later and things will start to unravel for Gates.

At the moment I cant see a reason no, I'm guessing pipsqueak blokey goes back at a later date and finds lot of data gone or no longer linked to that file.

I don't like anyone involved so far, but that's not a problem for me, I'll wait and see where they all go.

Are we presuming that Gina McKee killed the bloke deliberately or is it just a coincidence he worked for her?

I don't think it's likely to be a coincidence.

I liked it.

Can't get over how much the lead looks like Courtney B Vance though!

Yeah no way. She's planned it all and involved him so she can get away with it.

How do you know his debts have got nothing to do with him taking this part? Oh yes, that's right, you don't. So the poster you quoted was perfectly within their rights to refer to it in response to the OP.

No thoughts on, re-criming, laddering or putting some crimes on the backburner?

I'm sure it happens all of the time in The Real World. When you have a government and media obsessed with statistics then it's inevitable that those responsible for generating them will massage the figures.

I've never seen CID portrayed as such a poor, soul destroying job in a Police drama.
McClure and her fanciable mate, just slogging away until they can get on the A team and dumping MOP's on the 'Civil' when they can't be ar$ed and the case is beneath them.

Apparently Doctors liked the writers previous shows Cardiac Arrest (never saw it) and Bodies (saw it, wanted more) due to the realism.
Not sure if coppers will like this, depends on the reaction, I suppose, if it helps with the targets based system.
