Its probably good Yvonne's not back. Gwyneth would turn her into the police for sending the harassing letters and not telling the police about the fire. Anyone Gwyneth doesn't like she attacks.

I hope the writers address Sion Whiter than White the hypocrite. I wish they would say that Britt wanted to tell Dani, because she wanted Gwyenth to be punished but Sion wouldn't let her because Brit wouldn't turn herself in to the police. Sion insisted that Gwyneth be forgiven to punish Britt mostly, it wasn't really to protect her from the police. There he was last night again talking about poor Gwyenth. He commits all these crimes and yet manages to look so moral.

I'm new to PYC - only been watching since January, but love it... and I usually hate soaps!

I'm struggling with the background plot to the fire, though - who's involved and why? Anyone sum it up in a concise sentence or two? Cheers!

Short version, Gwyneth set the fire. Garry the father of Gwyneth's son was in prison for financial fraud. Gwyneth's wife Yvonne was working undercover and put him there. Gwyneth didn't know this. Garry was released from prison and threatened to expose Yvonne to Gwyneth and the village if she didn't leave Cwm Deri forever. Yvonne was in love with Gwyneth wouldn't give her up. So Garry told Gwyneth the truth about Yvonne. Gwyneth became enraged and set fire to Garry's flat out of revenge and killed Brandon Garry's brother on "accident" it was supposed to be Garry in the flat. Gwyneth let Yvonne be blamed and she was in prison for while. Some people found out after Gwyneth confessed after she thought she was dying of cancer. Some took private revenge, but mostly she has conned people into forgiving her.

I follow Tonya Smith on twitter, it really doesn't look like she is working atm. She seems to be raising her daughters full time. I would be really surprised if she figured into the current storyline with Gwyneth. If we want her back maybe we need to petition the writers to bring her back.

He's not a pedophile. I like Gethin not to be saint like person or a clear cut abuser its closer to reality. Just saw the episode Gwyenth is clearly targeting Gethin, she isn't doing this out of justice for herself or Dani. She's doing what she is doing to hurt people who have already been hurt. But she's protecting Britt who she likes. I don't want him to confess under these circumstances it isn't right.

I know her deliberately hurt her but Dani is not completely saintly in her treatment of Gethin. I think Gethin would be angry because he was the one abused and she was not which she only has acknowledged for about 3 weeks.

I hope we don't have another mob scene like with Macs where Gethin is chased off and Moc get a free pass. Dani will excuse her father because Gethin was just so so bad he was driven to do what he did. And we all have to cry over Dani because as a poor little woman she is oppressed and abused and must be protected. So tired of that garbage.

Why is Britt worried, though? And what did Sion cover up?

Britt is worried because when she found out her best friend and ex-lover Gwyneth killed her brother and put her in a comma she snapped in the moment and hit her and put her in hospital. Gwyneth was seriously injured.

Sion didn't tell the police that what his wife did. This bothers Sion and now he has forgiven Gwyneth completely for murder because after all Britt did something bad and it is his moral duty to forgive.
