Just saw the episode. Kitykat you are right Gaynor's behavior is hysterics. How long has it been since she spoke to Izzy 5 days? Less than a week at any rate. A bit early to decide that she has lost her daughter forever. Izzy just needs some time to process things. After the events of the last two weeks it is obvious why that would be.

Gaynor treats Hwyel like a child. She never lets him be a full partner.

That is why I was wondering if she's always like that about her daughters. She's acting like Izzy died or something. God forbid she let her daughter have some time apart. She's hurt and embarassed. Izzy probably hasn't given Colin more than a quick call/text to say she'd arrived.

And with how much of a dramaqueen Gaynor is I don't blame Izzy not wanting lectures and crying on the phone.

Some characters act more immature than Courtney at times.

Gaynor is a control freak, when she found out that Lois was pregnant, she kept her home. Not letting her go to school. Made up a story that Lois was ill, she wasn't even allowed to see her friends.

You are right Gaynor is a control freak and not a very good mother. Lois tried to run away from her too. Actually Gaynor is acting more dramatic over Izzy than she did over Lois. Izzy is an adult and just needs space.

Lets not forget how Gaynor treats Hwyel like a child, and how she turned on Yvonne and didn't care that she was rotting in prison.

It really bothers me that she would see herself as suffering in the same way Macs and Izzy are. If she needs to talk to someone why doesn't she talk to Colin. As Izzy's father he is the one in the same possition as she is.

No. She is apparently on holiday. And will work away over the summer. So we won't see her again until at least September.

Colin has his faults, but he is a far better father than Gaynor is a mother, but he never gets to heard what going on until the last moment.

That came right out of the blue. So because Gaynor says she understands why Macs is upset five minutes later they are all over each other. Why Macs was comforting Gaynor I don't know as she's overreacting. They didn't even bring up what he'd done to Izzy until after they'd had sex. All very stupidly written IMO.

Dani and Gary suddenly being all buddy was stupid too. Have they got new writers or a producer? some things just aren't believable. Hmm I am not buying today's episode.

I am going to have to see it. They have really emphaized for a year that Macs has some sort of trauma problem related to the rape. I didn't like the way they ended the rape story last year because they just made that problem go away. That in my opinion was very irresponible. It wouldn't happen, once you have a problem like that you have it until you get help.

If they try to make Macs Gaynor romantic, I will be angry. It would not be. Sure I can see Macs being with someone other than Sioned. But sex with Gaynor would be trauma related and to say otherwise would be insulting to people who have been through this experience.

Going by the passionate kiss they shared and his smile after I'd say he wasn't that traumatized during the scene. Gaynor goes from crying to helping pull Macs down on the sofa. It all felt forced to me.

He seemed to like sleeping with Gaynor so I don't think he'll give that up. The fact he apologised for what he did to Izzy right after was all a bit awkward. Seems Gaynor had completely forgotten about it until he said something. She just seemed embarassed and almost ran out of there.

Like I said I will have to see where it goes. But is really false impression of reality. I mean of course he might not want to be with Sioned. But how do you go from not wanting to be in your house alone to being wanting to be with Gaynor with all their history. I had a mild form of Ptsd believe me that is not how things work at all. I find this pretty irresposible.

Well, there is still the tape still out there and Sion's reaction from last week. So it is possible they can turn this around. I don't understand because they did a good job with the depression and alcholism stories. I just I don't understand why they are stopping short of going for the full consequences here. It would help people if they did.

I wasn't pleased with how they easily let Scott and Macs off for their sex offenses. That was irresponsible as well. So it's not surprising they aren't dealing with this properly. They seem out of their depth with this storyline.
