Hi can anyone recommend a sulphate free shampoo/conditioner.
I dye my hair and think it is getting dry, I've read about these type of shampoos and wondered if anyone really noticed a difference ?

I love the new L'oreal range

http://www.lorealparis.co.uk/haircar...e-shampoo.aspx.

They are £5.99 each but at Boots they are always on offer at 3 for 2.
I can really tell the difference when I have used this on my hair.
They also do Ever Sleek and Ever Strong.

I think Body Shop did one a while back but I wasn't that impressed with it .

Oh thank you I saw an advert a few nights ago for a loreal shampoo that had a V in the name and couldn't remember the name!!
you have just reminded me of it, and the 3 for 2 offer is very good I will pop to Boots tomorrow
Thank you for the feedback on the product as well,
I noticed after using the conditioner that came with the hair dye my hair felt so soft and smooth I realised then that my current shampoo is making my hair dryer that it should be
I cant wait to get some tomorrow

The loreal range has been getting good write ups on the beauty blogs. I need to give it a try myself!

I got a free sample of the new loreal one and I have to say I am impressed....though the smell drove me insane. That might just be me because my friend didn't notice it.

What did it smell like?

Naked also do a whole range of shampoos which are all sulphate free, as well as 97% natural ingredients. They've been amazing for my hair - it's never looked shiny and healthy like it does now.

I can't quite put my finger on it..it reminded me of the wet ash I use to clean silver, mixed with some kind of herb. Like I said, could have just been me since my friend said she didn't have a problem with smell, and I am extra sensitive when it comes to smell.

I've got the L'Oreal Ever Pure shampoo and conditioner gathering dust in my bathroom, only used it once but my hair wasn't impressed.

That doesn't sound great. I might give it a sniff in Boots! Might have a look at the naked stuff too.

Aveda Damage Remedy is excellent very moisturising, but it's a bit pricy.

Liz Earle's Botanical Shampoo is very good also - very good lather for an SLS free shampoo.

Natural/organic shampoo bars are good too.

Check out mypure.co.uk

And also
http://www.handmadenaturals.co.uk/
(which I think is better as their products contain less chemicals than mypure products)

Personally I love the L'Oreal Everstrong, it's rich and creamy and I think it smells great, but then I like botanical type smells anyway.

I normally like them too...but this one just grates me. Maybe it's just the way it interacts with my crazy colours.

I find this makes my hair feel very soft, but it doesn't look very shiny.

I agree, OP, the conditioner that comes with the colour usually makes my hair look and feel fantastic. Nice 'n' Easy sell small tubes of it for around a pound. I get it in Superdrug or Tesco, but it's not always available, so when I see it I stock up.

Here's the brunette one:

Well personally I don't depend on shampoos for shine, as that isn't really their main purpose. What I need from them is to cleanse my scalp without stripping it but yet allows my hair to feel moisturised and hydrated. I rely on conditioning treatments for shine....
