I think all of those are possibles.

With an Olympic year, Id say there is a fair chance of 3 or 4 sports people so Kelly, Amy and Michael V are all very possible.

For me, Id prefer to have half a dozen athletes/sportspeople (half the cast) if it stops the flow of multiple soap actors as in previous years.

For me- Fern with James, Michael with Natalie, Sian with Vincent and Amy with Artem.

I just checked Amy's height and she's 5ft 8 so IMO she'd be too tall in heels for Artem.

How tall is Sian?? I always thought she was short so would be with Vinnie.

She is tiny 5ft 2 I think , wasn't she with Vin in CIN special ? That would prob rule him out

Kelly Sotherton and Amy Williams have both retired because of injury so provided the injury does not affect dancing then they could be possible.

I know and that's exactly why I'm saying IMO Amy would be too tall for Artem - I felt that Holly was too tall for him - it was a mismatch in more ways than one

No idea who Amy is, but Kelly (Holmes do you mean?) will surely be tied up giving her endless boring speech that "sport is good for everyone" on tv during the olympics, which wouldn't give her much time to worry about dancing. And didn't she do DOI?

I don't know much about KS, but Amy could be a great contestant. She's bubbly, fit and competitive etc (tho' that can count against women sometimes... )

Oh I hope not Robin was kinda hoping he got a much younger celeb this yr as with Kristina too she had never been partnered with anyone younger than herself so I would like to see what they could come up with

Fern Britton is 5ft 7 so ...5ft 9 in heels ? James is 5ft 11. I bet she'll be partnered with him.

Why the frown? Is it him you like or her? I think they'd be a good match myself but I'm not sure if it'll happen because James got a tv presenter that was popular with the public last year.......it could happen though because pros have been given similar types two years in a row!

I think Sian would be quite good. She is also very likeable so I could see her going quite far in the series.

I would like to see Fern with Anton - I hope he doesn't get a "joke" partner this year- someone decent for a change, I love when he dances not distracts us with comedy.

Why the frown ? ( Re Fern Britton and James ). I'm thinking of what the public seems to like and vote for. I like both James and Fern by the way. I don't think they'd have any chance, no matter how good Fern is, against a younger celeb.
I'd like to see the pairings overhauled a bit eg no joke partner for Anton, Aliona not partnered again, with someone who stands a high chance of winning, Vincent getting a really good partner and the same for Flavia..and so on. So the frown was mostly due to my thinking, " Well that's predictable".
I think that Fern and James would work well together but the end result ...the final two now I think is getting too obvious.

I wouldn't mind seeing James with one of the sports ladies rumoured...........as for Fern I'm not sure partnering her with a different pro would change much......the younger celebs will always have the advantage......with Anton she might get the popular vote and turn out decent ballroom but her latin would suffer.

I agree with you about Aliona - I really want to see how she does with a weaker celeb and it is time for Flavia and Vincent to be given good celebs.
