Fern Britton quits All Star Celebrity Mr & Mrs

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/tv/news/...r-and-mrs.html

Very disappointed to hear that Fern has quit the show. Even more disappointed to hear that Philip will be presenting the show alone. Of all the shows on TV I think it really needs a second presenter. They should draft Holly in as her replacement. Philip and Holly have excellent chemistry. Humour is key to the success of this show.

Good grief, no more Holly. She's on too much as it is, for someone with so little talent.

Derek Batey managed it alone. Although he did have the lovely assistant did he not?

Is Holly Willoughby now officially the only presenter in the world? She'll be doing Newsnight next. Enough. Go away Holly. I know Schofield loves you because he thinks you make him look young and with it, but one day he'll wise up

Batey was also the programme controller of Border TV at the time, rare example of a manager being successful in front of the cameras

And ten times better run than ITV at the moment.

I doubt even Batey would be getting a 50% share in a 200 channel world.

I can't even remember the last time it was on. It was many months ago now.

When this was first reported several weeks ago (Phil recorded the episodes earlier in June) the media claimed that Fern had been dropped, not that she had quit.

Anyone know the actual truth?

The Sun today are alleging she is to appear in Strictly this September and she has other BBC projects, of course, So maybe she has just moved beyond this show.

Have you got a link to the news story regarding her departure?! Completely passed me by at the time clearly.

Phil was questioned about this on twitter weeks ago when he started filming- he was asked if he and Fern had fallen out and that is why she was not filming and he said something along the lines of no falling out and that she does not work for ITV anymore...

She's nowhere near tough enough to replace Paxman on there.

Fern has been 'involved in many projects' since she left This Morning.

It's such an awful show anyway. I can't believe it has an audience.

It is such a joy NOT to keep seeing her on TV. Her great gurning face, the head tilted to one side like she's really interested and that patronising smug voice. Yuk!!

I thought it was well known that when Fern left This Morning and moved to the BBC to become a panelist on that TV panel show that she had left ITV and hosting Mr. and Mrs.. That was about three years ago. In fact she hasn't really spoken to Philip since she left.

I really hope this show does not come back am getting a little bored with all these Celeb versions of what was once decent shows and it always seems to be the same attention seeking individuals on every show .
