Kick In the BOLD!
Hello all,
Yes I am a newbie and yes I am a long time comic nerd girl, but I have finally decided to try and throw my hat into the independent ring. I Just wanted to share some of the art from my Kickstarter project collaboration. It's called "Being Bold"Trying to go the independent route and get this thing published, with a colorist and letterer on board once we get funded. I honestly think it's a fun and engaging comic that will certainly add something unique to the independent scene I just need some help getting it off the ground. You may be tired of seeing pitches by now, but what can I say? This is a labor of love, and the only people to show it to, are those who share the same love of comics I've always had. If it interests you in anyway, by all means, drop what you can to keep it from dying out. Please take a look at some sample pages: PAGE-A PAGE-B PAGE-C PAGE-D PAGE-E PAGE-F PAGE-G More here at Kickstart Link: BEING BOLD It's a fun little superhero book with a twist that I put together with a really cool artist, and I think readers will enjoy it. If you dig it, and you want to see it in print, help a gal get her book in print. ![]() Thanks, - ZGirl |

Has quite the Spiderman vibe. You may have difficulty reaching your goal without a prior fanbase from a web-comic or such, but best of luck!

Very nice art and I wish you every success but I'm getting a bit tired of seeing so many Kickstarter projects! The classic pitch method is get a 5-6 page script/art sampler done, including an overview, and then pitch it to publishers via one of many methods. Bump up interest in it by doing webcomic samplers/shorts to gain an audience/viable market that publishers can see. Lots of folk have done this tried and tested route in the past, including many folk I know, to varying degrees of success.
Using Kickstarter is an interesting, though currently steadily overused, angle but why should folk pay you to do your pitch? If you don't get the money will you not bother pitching? That would be a waste, this should be pitched whether successful in getting the funding or not... |
