Looks like Person of Interest is taking over CSI's slot as it debuts 14th August at 9pm, I had a feeling they'd do this but a good move nonetheless, guess Dallas will be taking over NCIS' slot when CBB finishes in September.

BARB has updated. And BBC One has a 26% audience share! It will be more like 19.2% for the week just gone.

Where did you read this mate?

It's got the best possible chance of success there. I guess the first promos will be on air maybe tomorrow?

In other news, The Hotel Inspector officially had 2.08m (inc. +1). The most watched series opener ever and the most watched episode of the programme since August 2010.

And, quelle surprise, they are singing its praises! Hahaha.

Cheers mate. Really pleased it's going there. Could be a big week with CBB also due to launch.

There are 5 episodes of CSI left to air though and only 4 weeks of it left to run. I guess they might air the season finale on Wednesday 8th August?

Unless BB plans to have a eviction that night then I think that'll be the most likely scernario.

Hope they have called the midwife...

Wonder if this is cashing in on the success of Midwife/Born Every Minute, and the nation's evident yet unfathomable desire to watch babies popping out?

And if it's a success, when will Corrie schedule its copycat live birth?
Fiz in Corrie gave birth in their live episode, memorable for all the wrong reasons.

Beyond dire for Emmerdale Farm last night http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/s3...t-episode.html

Nations Fave Number 1 improved decently. It was a fun show but I still find list shows on the second biggest channel pretty uninspring.

Reading some of the stuff here is to have a glimpse into what it must be like in an old folks home and hearing the same guff repeated over & over. Someone complaining that ITV! scheduled a repeat of a sports quiz at 11.05pm on a Friday night against the Olympics As if the 11-12pm slot has suddenly become a key battleground.
Well they are showing that sports quiz against Team GB Men's football the night before in the 9pm slot. I believe the 9pm hour is a key battleground.

Im sure you wont reply or even read this due to your "less is more" mantra you often develop when ITV go through a rough time. See you in late August?

A derisory 4.6m for Emmerdale? The "nobody knew it was on" excuse doesn't really wash, as it aired there last Sunday and Coro St did ok at 7.30pm.

On the official ratings, good to see Wallander getting 6.91m for its return episode (is that the highest ever?). Blackout also timeshifted nicely to 5.3m, which would have made it moderately successful if it wasn't so rubbish and sank catastrophically for episiode 2.

The British GP full coverage got 3.3m on BBC2/HD which was very good considering it aired against the Murray final and on a rare summery day (the previous race day full coverage managed an official 3.9m on BBC1 with no competing distractions).

And 4.13m is a truly excellent BBC2/HD figure for Line of Duty ep2, up on its first episode. That drama, which is superb, really should have been on BBC1 in my view.

Great numbers. But surely what is shaping up to be one of the biggest British sporting triumphs of 2012 should be on the main ITV channel, eh?

If nothing else I would enjoy seeing your response to ITV moving coverage of a sporting fixture to the "bigger" channel.

(No spoilers re today please - I will be watching the highlights when I get home!)

2.1m for Watch including +1. That is truly unbelievably insane. Doesn't Watch usually get like 100k. Dynamo boosting them by something like 4000%.

DMN your figure for the football is wrong or you're missing the HD figure from MC chart

you're missing 3.24m for ITV1 HD in one of those charts

edit: ITV1 figure for football is listed as 12.89m on BARB website

I don't include ITV1 HD in the multichannel charts, in the same way that it isn't in the 'Other' top 30 on BARB's website.

An astonishing feat. I can't think of a single example of a show doing that much better than the channel average.

The only thing that worries me slightly is will he ever run out of material? Bearing in mind I've never seen an episode of the show.

Not a fan of the scenic views of rural France?

I think it should stay put on ITV4 - you cant rob the channel of its biggest day. It would be different if it was alternating between ITV1 and 4 as it used to in past years but now ITV4 is the home of FTA cycling coverage all year round and deserves its final day.

Source: BARB. Excludes +1, Includes HD for Terrestrial Chart. Only 1 programme per 'show', i.e. only one Ford Super Sunday game. Full Euro 2012 programme averages.

Rather unusually for this time of the year, two new entries in the multichannel start. And super ratings they are too.
When it is put like that, the rating for the Wimbledon final looks rather disappointing considering the magnitude of the event, especially as there are definitely 3 progs - x factor, strictly and the opening ceremony that will beat it by the end of the year, and quite probably more on top of that.

Superstar beaten soundly by Countryfile!

The live shows might fare better with lesser competition but are people engaged enough in the show for ratings to increase? We'll soon find out. Amanda Holden's hosting does show how much Graham Norton brought to those ALW shows on BBC1.

Also does anybody know what Sinbad got on Sky1?

I don't include ITV1 HD in the multichannel charts, in the same way that it isn't in the 'Other' top 30 on BARB's website.
sorry if I've got this wrong, but your figure in the main chart for Eng football doesn't look like it includes HD figure then

that 13m average looks like it's only for ITV1

erm an average of 11.52 watched for five hours straight

all those other programmes last 2.5 hours tops, so I think the tennis figure is brilliant considering its length

only Will & Kate or great Gran sustained as big an audience for that long
