NBC affiliates show local News regularly, I know US viewers don't see lot of action live, by showing it on time delay they can edit it and take commercial breaks without missing vital action.

`eastenders still failing to close the ratings gulf between them and corrie, poor script, filler episodes and a cast of muppets aint doing the show any favours

EastEnders had 7.6m and corrie's second episode had 7.7m and EastEnders still beat it in share. The first episode had 8.3m to that's hardly a huge gap as we've had 1.5m gaps at times this year

Are you looking at different figures

20:30 - Coronation Street: 7.74m (32.7%), +1: 238k (1.0%)
BBC Three
22:00 - EastEnders: 550k (2.7%)”

I assume that first ep of Corrie isn't for the full slot either, unlike Corrie's 2nd episode and EE.

Eastenders is failing, ratings are going one way and that is down. Newman is Kirkwood in a skirt and i don't believe that anything can/will improve at EE until a new EP is appointed.

No self respecting Londoner dares watch this mockney shite anymore.

The main showing ratings for EE look fine, but that's a little low for the BBC Three rerun no? Can't remember it being that low in a while.

I don't mean to sound rude, but i am aware of how American TV works, i simply typed out what Titan TV guide had printed. Next time i won't bother, silly cliques in here.

I never take offence here, I wasn't explaining NBC policy as my opinion for you exclusively, I was just waffling on really There isn't a clique here - quite the opposite, people fight like cat and dog over channel loyalty - thankfully the best channel has London 2012 exclusively.....

That was meant to be humour on my part.....

Have they or are people with BARB monitoring equipment too lazy to switch away from BBC One, in line with all the soaps ratings are falling as each year passes, two years down EE ect rating 5 million will be the norm.

with SS ratings like that, does it bode well for the XF return? has it damaged right around the corner or is everyone just waiting for it to return? Haven't seen the likes of nashing of teeth etc like people did with TVUK

The X Factor is a different beast and a pretty big one. It'll be fine.

Could be record lows all round tonight and at 9pm I think BBC2 or Channel 4 might win?

At 9pm I can estimate the following, BBC1 winning the slot - Victoria ought outrate the Usain Bolt Documentary earlier this week, and it does not have tough opposition. (c. 12m watching main 5 channels does seem a little high)

Quote:
“BBC1 ought be good for 3m+
BBC2 (if shown) should rate 2m
ITV1 around 2.5m
C4 maybe 2.2m
C5 a healthy 1.7m”
