Yes, but they're still featuring one of them as the "Batchelor", couldn't they have found someone else, someone who actually had a claim-to-fame outside a poor-rated reality show.

It's not called Celebrity Bachelor is it?

He had a following of sorts amongst the key demographic, that was enough to make him more suitable than most.

They won't get rid of Richard II I wouldn't have thought as the Hollow Crown series has been specially timed to air on the four weekends leading up to the Olympics. It's part of the cultural Olympiad.

This show would work with someone like Phil Tufnell. It was good last year as it had a witty Bachelor who was a sports star. However, Channel 5 have decided to use someone from a not very successful reality show. Next up they'll probably hire someone who was evicted after the first week on BB4 or something.

They can as it's been done before and for the exact same reasons. Last time it happened was 2005 because BBC One was airing Andy Murray. A match Murray lost...

BB has devoted fans, it's the sort of thing devoted fans will do....look at the detailed chats about passed BB's, they'll go over something time and again no matter how boring.

but Strictly is called Strictly Come Dancing, not Dancing With the Stars, and both have celebs of similar level on them.

If the Bachelor wasnt about celebrity, it could have gotten a man of much better quality, than a Only Way is Essex loser, the only reason they have him, is because he was the best/cheapest celebrity they could get.

ok, I just wonder if the BBC keep the lottery contract, maybe they should bump it to BBC 2.

I can't think of anyone that does that. No one would watch it twice unless it was a massive episode. Us remembering things has nothing to do with us watching again on +1, its because things are discussed on the forum, videos are posted, etc...

If they decide to postpone Secret Fortune and have a draw only show then they will be two weeks behind with the lottery schedule. Secret Fortune was meant to start last Saturday. Due to The Voice's grand final taking up the whole night, they decided to move In It to Win It to last week.

1) Don't get the Strictly comparison at all. Do we inhabit the same planet?

2) Wrong show. If you're going to slag him off, at least get it right.

I don't really get all this fuss over who's doing it from people who never have and never will watch the show. As long as he looks the part, is single and isn't a mass murderer or something, it's kind of irrelevant. The draw should be the format and an interest in seeing that play out. If that's not there and it only works with someone really famous then it's probably not got much of a future. But too early to be drawing that kind of a conclusion anyway.

If only EastEnders was so easy to avoid, inflicting its half hourly portions of misery on viewers most weekdays.

At least Corrie has a bit of humour to it.

Oh I totally agree

TBF EastEnders(To much imo) has had a lot more humour lately and alot seemed to enjoy the Humour scenes with Zainab last night which they wrapped around the Drama quite well.

TBH if it wasnt for this thread, I couldnt tell if it was on or not, but to be fair if it wasnt for this thread, I couldnt do that for the World or EU Cups either.

ok first of all, sorry my bad I mistook a star of TOWIE for a star of a TOWIE cheap copy cat show. Obviously I was giving Channel 5 more star pulling power, than they actually have

As to my point, you said that it wasnt called "The Celebrity Bachelor", I took that to mean, that you it didnt need to have a celebrity on it, but Strictly does not have "celebrity" in the title but does.

If Channel 5 didnt want a celebrity show, they could have gone for someone not from "I cant believer its not The Only Way is Essex" and a non celebrity who is a worthwhile human being.

My last spell watching EE came to an end when they killed off Ronnie's daughter the moment she discovered who she was. Literally the very next moment.

That's the frustrating thing about 'Enders and why it doesn't work for me personally. They'll spend months building up to something like that, and the reward you get for your loyal viewership is often a clumsy, unsatisfactory and needlessly miserable conclusion.

Coming from someone slagging off another person on an internet forum they know little about and have never met?

I dislike this idea that someone isn't a "worthwhile human being" if they are getting paid to appear on programmes like Made in Chelsea etc. If I could get paid to do that for a living, I probably would too.

That was what April 2009?
I dunno alot of people were talking about the climax and of course it caused outrage among some of the 'Ronnie/Danielle' fans.

I guess like Every programe on TV it's not going to be to everyones taste but can i suggest if you want doom and gloom then maybe head down to Summer Bay(which im really enjoying right now)

It's an actual episode for once, so a full hour.
