Broadcast says "Figures include HD and +1 where applicable" so I'm assuming it includes C5+1.

Anyone interested in a vintage ratings thread where we can discuss ratings from before 2000? I think this is where my real interests lie and I know a few people would be interested.

Interesting statistics from Broadcast w/e 24th June.
BBC ONE's all-day Year-To-Date share, like all the terrestrials, has been trailing behind 2011. But for the week ending 24th June it's all-day share is now exactly the same as 2011. Full stats below with 2011 figures in brackets: BBC ONE - 20.77 (20.77) BBC TWO - 6.18 (6.79) ITV1 - 16.43 (16.95) C4 - 6.64 (6.95) C5 - 4.37 (4.46) And we've got the Olympics to come. What's the betting BBC ONE's 2012 share will beat 2011? I would say BBC1 will build up an even bigger lead over the Olympics, which will be whittled away a bit once ITV1's big hitters return from August. Tricky to say if BBC1 will be up YoY for 2012 - it depends how the autumn goes. Quote:
Thanks. June wasn't a good month it seems.

There's not really much point as...
a) it will consist of the same posters from this thread b) it means members will have to check two threads c) discussion in this thread goes round, and eventually discussion in the other thread will 'exhaust' itself There's only so much you can discuss from before 2000, and inevitably it will all link in again with today in some way. |

New ITV show which sounds, awful: Quote:
MARRY ME?
Are you thinking of popping THAT question? Are you planning a secret proposal that they will never forget? ITV1 are looking for people with exciting ideas to make their proposal the event of a lifetime in this brand new TV show. We will follow the individual’s journey from the initial idea right through to the day that they get down on one knee and utter those four crucial words. If you would like to find out more, then get in touch now! Your secret is safe with us! |

Wonder if the Djokovic match finishes soon, if they'll move the Ferrer Del Potro match onto centre, it obviously won't be moved to BBC1 but might get some extended coverage on BBC2 (and has the best potential as a match up of any of the quarter finals)
Play will resume at noon on Centre and Court 1 to accommodate extra matches, I expect Murray to be second on Court 1. Very seldom they use the opener to finish an already started match. |

Didnt BBC1 do a fly on the wall on a wedding a few years ago with Su Pollard singing the god awful theme tune? Rated very well IIRC, got a lot of papers coverage too |

Amazing how popular a travel show was back then, I never thought Wish You Were Here was so huge. This week Judith goes to Tenerife....

I suppose what those of who are interested could post on here as the thread doesn't say the ratings have to be current. I don't watch a lot of television on the two main channels now and prefer nostalgia.

Classic ratings can be very interesting, channel highs for example...keeping things here is best though, if ever someone comes across a relevant top 20/30 from the 70s,80s,90s - an Olympics week for example,it would be good to compare then and now in this multi-channel era.
