Anyone know how CopyCats / Shaun the Sheep is doing in the 5.10pm BBC2 slot? Be interesting to see how these shows stand up in this slot with no Pointless or Money Where Your Mouth Is currently being shown.

Plus interviews, reporters bits etc, i.e the normal length of a report within a news bulletin.

Is it me (probably!) but I cant understand how BBC2 can have such a bad share in the middle of Wimbledon fortnight?
![]() BBC2's worst performance for a Wednesday peaktime in 12 years yesterday can be explained by: 1. No Murray at SW19, limiting the performance of 2 hours of primetime; 2. Football on BBC1 performing very strongly, meaning (a) Secret History of our Street at 21.00 sank to a series low of 1.1m/5%, down from a series average of 1.8m/8%*; (b) The Culture Show at 22.00, hardly ratings gold to start with, must have been obliterated by extra time and penalties on the other side (would like to know the rating); (c) Newsnight clashed with the 6.1m-rating BBC1 news, surely denting it severely. It must be said, however, that BBC2 also had its worst all-day Wednesday share ever* (4.6%*, same share as primetime). I suggest this was due to the factors above, plus CBBC running up to 17.50. Altogether there were eight hours of low-rating children's programmes on BBC2 yesterday. * Courtesy ITV Media, C4 Sales |

Absolutely but only two minutes of action. And the interviews have to be done outside the Olympic venues so they may have difficulty getting people shortly after an event.

Nadal losing two sets to one on BBC Two right now (and with the roof the match WILL be completed, so could go late) plus fantastic Euro 2012 semi on BBC One. Great drama from the BBC, who said BBC Sport was dead?!

There's less sport on the BBC these days than 5-10 years ago. Its not dead but its becoming a rarer event. Someone said theres going to be only 4 live football matches on BBC between end of Euros and 2014?!

From after the Olympics I shouldve said!
Also, do we know who will show the Scotland - England game next year? If they get the marketing right, and its not on Sky, it could be huge. They won't have played in 14 years. |

Has that been officially confirmed then?
The British Olympic Association confirm they are yet to receive Team GB's men's football's full 18-man squad list. The statement reads: "With respect to men's football, the BOA has not yet received from the FA the list of players who are being nominated for Team GB, so we cannot confirm who is, and is not, under consideration for the side. We are expecting the list no later than the early part of next week." Taken from BBC Sportsday live page. |

I don't think the BBC have any live rights now to top class football other than the tournaments unless they've bought up some England away games. Then again though you said top class...

Now ruined by the stupid roof at least an hour before it goes dark - an enforced 30 minute break means it'll certainly be kicked of BBC2 now.

Could BBC One fit in tennis along with the football especially if they have to air the news at 10ish. Mock the Week is in a pickle as you can't push it back a week.

They should move the Tennis or Mock the Week to BBC3 at 10pm if still going. In today's television landscape BBC3 is as accessible as BBC2, something I think might be established more during London 2012.
They're only showing Little Britain. I'm not sure why they continue to schedule Today at Wimbledon at 8pm - every time I watch it seems to end up rescheduled, shortened, cancelled. Why can't they run Wimbledon highlights on BBC1 at 10.35pm? (and an hour later on Thursdays). |

Tennis on BBC Three would be interesting but its not shown tennis before, I reckon they'd move Mock the Week but it depends on how long the match goes on for.

Heather Watson will be second on Centre Court tomorrow for her third round match. So probably on court at around 4pm after Djokovic.

I'm surprised it's never gone lower than that (not sure what usually props them up on Wednesday).
I bet most of those kid's shows were repeats too. Very lazy. Almost all the kids' shows on BBC1/2 are repeats. The only exception today was Newsround. |
