Mock the Week has been dropped with the repeat on Sunday now being the first showing.

Mock the Week now at 22.10 on Sunday, as per John Inverdale. Good decision, supported by someone due to be on the bumped show who tweeted in to the BBC!

Yes. But it is being very widely reported by the BBC. It's a headline on the BBC1 10pm news.

This isn't like some newspaper "rumour". If the BBC is reporting it like this I think it can be taken as 99% certain - subject only to something like an injury changing things. The BBC would not make a mistake on something like this.

Absolutely the correct decision to stay with that match given the circumstances! Wonder what the peak will be, I imagine it gained a huge audience flicking over from BBC One after the end of the football.

As luck would have it, the tennis match ended at 22.05! So Coast has been drafted in to fill.

Would have been luckier had it finished at 9.55pm.

I've been out this evening, just coming back to find Nadal has been beaten. Think BBC Two will end up denting BBC One quite heavily when we see the overnights.

Also, BBC One may be hoping for heavy rain to blight the country and for a Scotsman to reach the final on Sunday 8th July.

Indeed, but the post-match analysis took 10 minutes, worthwhile under the circumstances. Still the right decision, we could have expected the final set to last longer.

DALLAS RATINGS

Not good i'm afraid, continues to fall:

4.07 million viewers and a 1.1 in the demo, down from
4.76 million viewers and a 1.3 in the demo last week

It will fall even more next week as its actually airing an original episode on the 4th of JULY

I think tonight's match should average more than last nights. Not sure if the peak will be more though. Doubtful.

I went for 8.5m for each semi-final, I doubt the peak tonight would beat 12.0m, though I can see the average being between 8.0m and 9.0m - Wimbledon ran live opposite and could average 2.0m+ easily. The Benidorm repeat ought be squeezed.

Doesn't say much for the kind of person who watches Mock The Week. But there's no need to mess around with the schedules for more than one channel anyway, Mock The Week has a primetime repeat so it can easily go there.

Ah spin.

It still tied for number 1 on cable though, and it was the second highest rated drama on cable last week on any channel.

Oh and last weeks 4.8 million increased to 6.1 million when +3 ratings were added.

Still seems to be doing fine then. Not sure what people were expecting exactly considering it's on cable.

What is meant by +3 please?

In the US they do overnights (including same day) and +7 days officials as BARB, they also do a live +3 days.

I was just thinking that about Dallas, indeed any US drama broadcast, surely the timeshift can be quite considerable.

Bang on where I thought peak would be for football.

I just saw this on Twitter

For one week only: SkyAtlantic's #AlanPartridge is on #Sky1(HD) tonight 10pm #aha
For one week only: SkyAtlantic's Walking and Talking on #Sky1(HD) tonight 11pm -- John Williams (@JohnWilliams004)

Should help the ratings somewhat, the natural home for AP of course ought be BBC2!!

Both of them would do so much better on BBC2, Have to say love the new AP show, but Walking and Talking really took me by surprise, it's excellent, a real gem of a show, Kathy Burke is so under utilised, such a talented lady.
Such a shame both shows are on Sky, they along with Ruth Jones' excellent Stella from earlier in the year deserve larger audiences.

I wonder why Sam Hodges didn't tweet the programme average for italy v germany, maybe it is down on the 1st semi final. I can still see it averaging 8m+
5 a day

I don't understand the obsession with peaks. Programme averages and series averages are more meaningful and informative.

For every peak we hear about, we should also find out the trough.
