All of a sudden ITV's Tuesday isn't looking too bad. It's Saturday that's an absolute shambles at the moment. The return of The X Factor can't come soon enough for them, as Superstar looks like its going to be a major flop!

I think Superstar has pretty much got lost in the window between Euro 2012 and the Olympics - it might have been better for ITV1 to launch it off the back of Britain's Got Talent and then aired the live shows in BGT's traditional last week of May slot.

I wouldn't start announcing the ITV Flop Zone dead yet, they cant run WWTBAM every Tuesday. Saturday obviously will be fixed by Simon Cowell, a telling statement.

As for Superstar, ITV killed this one themselves.

If anything, the last time EastEnders was consistently brilliant for a long period of time is when it was only on three times a week. Plus there should be variety in the schedule, not EastEnders spearheading the schedule every weeknight.”

And that will be on the DG and BBC Trust's minds as the date for the BBC Charter renewal creeps closer.

Only three episodes of EastEnders in the first week. I won't say which channel they're on, in case it gives anyone a heart attack. Plus, I think it's a typo, anyway.”

What BBC Four

EE dropping viewers again

What is the betting that ITV will up its share as people become tired of the Olympics coverage, and i foresee ITV running Emmerdale to clash with EE on Two.

an Emmerdale clash with EastEnders, will only make ITV look bad, and very short termist, even if EE drops, its ratings will go back up when it returns to BBC 1.

Will ITV see a rise during the Olympics, its possible but despite my personal opinion people do watch these sporting events, so if I was ITV I wouldn't be counting on a big boost.

Ive mention on this thread already, ive made plans for the Olympics, and may rent a couple of DVDs from the local library as well, its unlikely I will resort to watching ITV.

Five will have two CSIs on, so that will distract me from the McDonalds sponsored school sports day, on the BBC.

Line of Duty has proven to be the first drama series hit for BBC Two, surely a recommision is likely unless it was envisioned as a one-off, kind of hope BBC One aren't interested as BBC Two needs their own hits.

I believe the end of series 1 does leave it open for a 2nd series. In an age when getting a commission is becoming tougher, any writer worth their salt will make sure any series they get on screen has potential to run.

Not sure if BBC1 would be interested. 3m is great for BBC2 but a bit poor for BBC1.

I dont know, maybe BBC One should be the place for returning dramas, whilst BBC Two is a place for a drama that tells a complete story, both are equally valid.

And thus the Millionaire "revival" went "pfffft".

Beaten by a documentary about clapped out old-timers being trotted out well past their sell-by date.

Fitting...

Well said Ken, one hour of Fearne Cotton or one hour of Dot Cotton (June Brown) there really is no contest... bravo to the BBC for having a retired season.

Thanks to Elgin on OG. For those who don't know there's no sport that day - just a small amount of Archery preliminaries that they're unlikely to show. So it's continuous build up from 6am!”

For those wondering, this changed to:

9 - normal

5 - Olympic Countdown
6 - Six O'Clock News

For the finalised schedules. ITV have Emmerdale, Corrie (1 hour) and Vera.

Very good figures, up there with C5's cricket highlights.

What did the live coverage get on ITV4, Eurosport UK and Eurosport HD?
