Then again, it was a compilation episode which many people didn't like. Anyone have the ratings for every episode of the series?

Federer-Benneteau going into a final set. Expecting more big big ratings for BBC Two in the morning. I love this roof!

Federer is live on BBC2/HD now and ought rate very well, it is under the roof so no chance of a rain delay. It looks like he is going to lose the opening set - so hopefully a 4/5 set thriller is on the cards.
My psychic ability knows no bounds, could we be looking at at 7m peak at 9.00pm? BBC2 viewers switching over and New Tricks viewers expecting a rerun episode.

Wonder how Nadal's match would have done had BBC One not had football and thus could have moved the match to BBC One?

I agree. A New Tricks repeat is no contest with this. BBC Sport must be loving this week!

If Benneteau's knee is knackered then it could've been the worst decision to move to BBC1

BBC Two had the second half of the Schama's Shakespeare and displacing a repeat on BBC One allows for bigger ratings and for BBC Two to have its schedule uninterrupted.

I agree with what Cent said yesterday, they need to move Today at Wimbledon to a later slot as it's always delayed or cancelled/

The advantage of the current set-up, though, is that highlights of tennis can be replaced by live tennis, limiting the impact on other programmes.

Amusingly, in the bar I am currently in the big screen has stayed with Simon Schama and the crowd who had been watching the tennis have now dissipated, presumably thinking it will continue tomorrow....

Indeed the decision is looking increasingly daft now.

BBC1 left with one set of Federer trouncing an opponent, nothing particularly special, and presumably having to fill with something unbilled at 9:30.

All the story of why this match was interesting was done and dusted on BBC2.

Really quick final set, the Federer match just finished. 40 minutes to fill now.

It had all the hallmarks of another thriller like last night's, so it was still the right call. I just hope they don't wheel out bloody Coast now...

How old does Barry Davis sound! I'd no idea he was still around.

Nice coverage of people leaving a stadium for the next 40 minutes

The best tennis was done by 7:30 on 2. But still, they ditched a repeat for what could have been an incredible finish. Wasn't to be though. No crystal balls.

Poor BBC

Last night's tennis was obviously more dramatic but live sport is just not something that can be predicted. The BBC went for it and, this time, they miscalculated.

They can put a 30 minute show on at 21:30 - maybe Mrs Browns Boys or a best of Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow? HIGONFY will do as a filler, will it beat The Circus and win the slot?

It shouldn't always be about ratings. Sometimes they should just leave things as they are.

There wasn't tennis scheduled on either channel at 9pm.

Live sport will often take priority, and it should over a repeat.

I got your name wrong, my apologises.

I wouldn't go on a killing spree if I were you, they probably dont let you watch EastEnders in jail, and given that its a spree you will only end up dead or in jail.

Why are we talking about Princess Diana again?
No Worries. I wont hold it against you I bet they do. I expect they watch EastEnders whille eating their big macs before they enter the Gym
