Ah yes I saw that- the re-writing of an event. There seem to be few who really don't like Luke A, I'm feeling it's not at face value

The one that referred to Arron being bullied by the outsiders because they were intellectual, made me laugh.

I am not sure i believe in the suggestion that all Ireland voted for him, i like to thing the Irish are as varied in there support as anyone else? I am sure a few English and Scots and Welsh voted for him as well and great numbers voted for Becky and Deana

I was just thinking earlier that this run of wet and awful weather is quite a blow to charities that have had all sorts of sponsored walks, runs, fêtes etc cancelled.
The TV weathermen might just as well take a long holiday. and record their spot to be repeated over and over like ground-hog day. "There will be torrential rain and cold everywhere tomorrow. "

That's what got Steve Martin's character in LA Story into so much trouble

Hi Barra. I'm sick of the wet stuff now, totally peed off with it all. I've been drier in a swimming pool than I was yesterday.

Hello all.
I was a bit disappointed to see Arron go, he was far from my least favourite. Becky's make up, what the hell was that all about?
These people have been hand picked for this show. By what criteria? The mind boggles.

Thanks to those asking how I got on.
Wednesday I had my annual diabetic review with the practice nurse and a specialist nurse from an independent company. it was really quite useful. I explained what I hadn't been doing, and tried to explain why. they gave useful tips and hints, but I explained that depression gets in the way of proactive behaviours, and that in addition to depression I am so unhappy that apart from Rhys the only thing that cheers me up at the moment is eating something i really enjoy such as fish and chips and cream cakes. They were thrilled with my honesty. I found it interesting that the specialist asked me if I would still like to lose weight, and when I thought about it I found that my instinctive reaction was to say no, I didn't care any more.
Well anyway, the SN came up with the idea of a drug that makes you feel full and slows the system down. T

So the next day I had my appointment with the GP. they had reported back to him.He said that now that I was being honest with them , they could begin to help me. What did I propose to do. (It is not important, but I have never been anything but honest with them. What is the point of seeking help if you are not going to be honest. And the thought of me of all people lying,( except perhaps to myself ) is laughable. ) Still no matter. he then said he was going to prescribe this drug and I burst out crying. I said I didn't think he was going to prescribe it, that he wouldn't think I was worth it. he was amazed, and said I deserved all the help they could give. And in any case, it might save them money in the long run.
Oh, and the reason he had asked to see me, was not only the diabetes but the chloresterol which was sky high. But the actions we were discussing would be seeking to address both issues. Good news, my liver, kidneys and thyroid functions were fine. I see him again in a month and the two nurses in September.

Sorry to offload, but I know some of you don't mind, and I hope the rest ignore this.

I might have to watch embarassing bodies at 9pm, having more in common with them than with the BB HMs.

There is evidence of block voting when one contestant is there not from England eg George Sansom in BGT, and that scottish singer in XF. Indeed it is not unlike the support that Murray gets from the British isles, and indeed the support from England for Italy recently because of Balotelli.

evening all

today i actually opened the curtains and the window! a first for more than six months.

and i ripped up some of the kitchen carpet revealing the lino underneath, which is horrible. it's mock wood but gives itself away as being lino by rucking up but it's lighter than the carpet so that's good.

it's a bit echoey in there now so if ever i can get to the rug shop i'll get some different coloured rugs to dampen the echo.

now i feel like i've just run a marathon and need someone to give me an energy drink and wrap me in that tinfoil stuff

that sounds like it went much better than when you last said about it

i know exactly what you mean about only having a couple of things that actually cheer you up. i hope that with this bit of extra help you get some kind of respite from the depression too. it's an awful and pestering thing to have i know.

here's to each improvement, however small *doodle raises glass of energy drink* (i've worn meself out)
