I was surprised about the Hitler ignorance but the school curriculum only lightly touches on the reasons for the war before exam level, however, the egg cycle is thoroughly explained for 6-7 year olds so i cant imagine how she could not know.

You could sell them in sets of 5 to stand on to reach the top cupboard in the kitchen.

You time is wasted in your present job, you could be a scientist or something.

Morning guys - Flora that looks delicious.

Had mad thunder storm a while ago, dog is still panting and trying to get under the desk. OH left 2 of the upstairs windows wide open so we now have 2 mini floods and a large pool on the lawn.

Cockerel was misspelled but i always say fertilize with a z because both ways are correct and i prefer it that way (even if it is more popular in America) because i lived in the west country for so long and that is how it's pronounced.

I am rubbish at spelling if i type though, and sometimes have to write on paper to remember a spelling. It is as if something in the brain gets disconnected.
You are pretty crap too.

I thought it was German.
I fully agree with you. If you need the money just go and do it. No point sitting starving admiring your degrees by candlelight.
I doubt that anybody would find these jobs easy. They require many skills.
Good luck.

Well in that case go for it - you'll be running several branches by the end of the week It's always easier to get a job when you're already employed so you could use is as a stepping stone if you wanted to.

Thanks Honey,

Your'e right, it is German, but every one we have shopped in has been staffed by Eastern Europeans. (Except our local one funny enough)

I don't care what the work is. It will always be a lot less stressful than working as a staff nurse on a coronary care unit or on any ward for that matter.

And think of the Big Macs

Thanks JOJO

The daughter of a friend of mine is a specialist nurse in an A&E trauma department, she's about 36/7 now with 2 children. Although she's always loved her job with a passion, the stress is getting to her now and she's looking to leave the profession. She's also sick of never having enough gloves/equipment in general and having to run round to other departments to find essential stuff (probably not an official term!)

They have an excellent work ethic regardless of the job they do and many of them are professionals in their own country.

Morning JoJo, not many people have a lawn upstairs, but it would save going out to cut the grass.

I love spelling mistakes, seldom does it mean you can't understand what was meant.
I'm hopeless at spelling but can always tell when it's wrong just that i can't remember what's right.

Talking about Busmans holiday, can you drive, get a PSV licence and it's not a bad job.
You get around anyway,

It's dreadful, i was in the eye department of Arrow Park and they had run out of plastic cups, the drinking water machine had water but no cups, what is the country coming to.

I asked an assistant if she could get 1 cup and 35 straws.

As long as we can all understand the message, spelling shouldn't inhibit anyone from posting. We've had this conversation before I'm sure.

I don't know anything about chickens' eggs, although i do still sometimes find a little red dot in mine.
I was taught nothing about Hitler. In those days history extended only as far as Bismark. Hitler was possibly too recent to quailfy as history, too indecent a subject to tackle in an all girls grammar, and qualified as current affairs, more the domain of a secondary modern curriculum than of an academic environment.

I used to regard myself as somewhat of a spelling exponent. That too has slipped from my personal agenda. I retain it as a pleasure but no longer seek to assist others.

I agree with you that no frailties or lack of skills in any arena should inhibit one from posting. We all offer different things.
On a different aspect, there are some people whose posts I completely fail to understand, regardless of the quality of spelling.

Oddly, one of the things that irks me is bad manners- well maybe not oddly

If the HM's had some manners, they wouldn't have permitted Conor's outburst, nor Deana's shunning.

WUM's and trolls are a fine example
