I do adore the fact that handholds have been a pretty much constant feature throughout their relationship. Nearly all the pivotal moments that i can think of have featured a handhold in some way shape or form. Obviously they were used a lot to show showing affection between Chryed in the early days, but i do love how this has continued.

Yep, that's the thing that annoys me. OK, they may not appear in as many episodes now as they used to but why does that mean the number of hours (or minutes :sleep screen time they get has to be reduced too...unless contracts are based on the number of hours and not the number of episodes they appear in

Yeah, exactly! Their episode count would be bad enough even if they were actually getting half-decent screentime when they were in an episode, but their scenes always come across like they were filmed at the last-minute and thrown in.

Both Reunions. 2010 needed a big speech from Syed to prove to Christian that he was indeed in love with him. 2012 didn't need a speech at all as they already knew how much they loved each other. but both reunions both made an impact with the characters and the audience in their own right.

OMG, that's just hideously depressing I've officially given up watching EE scenes that don't have characters I like in them...I don't want to waste any more of my life watching Derek & kids.

Yeah, I tried to watch the whole ep on Tuesday, but I didn't get very far. Think I'm going to stick to watching on iPlayer/YT until Chryed actually have enough screentime to make watching the Derek show worth it.

They are both fine thanks. Lily's teething has gotten better for which we are glad. She nearly 9 months now which is amwazing as i can still remember having her.

Bub is fine also. Im now exactly half way through this pregnancy. I hit the 20 week mark today. Feeling a bit tired though at the minute. Having a demanding baby, who crawls into everything and is starting to toddle around and being nearly 5 months pregnant are 2 things that really dont go together. I will wait a while before we have the boy we want.

I'm doing the same. I can't remember the last time I sat down to watch a whole episode!

Afternoon just got home. It's been pelting down with rain over here, to the extent that any pedestrians walking on the pavement next to the bus I was traveling on, would have got a thorough soaking from the spray that the bus was causing. Luckily there weren't ant pedestrians.

I agree with the above post, we've yet to see any aspect of Syed's muslim side since he moved out of his parents home, beyond that one scene when Christian took an interest two years ago. I can't even see anything Islamic in chryed's home. But I think we have to accept that a soap like EE simply isn't going to be able to dwell on that kind of thing - it's about constant drama and little else.

The only reason they brought in his annoying daughter and boring son is because tptb ran out of ideas of what they can do next with Derek. Soon when the current idea dies out, they might introduce the mother of his kids, who he all of a sudden fancies again. :sleep:

The same can be predicted with Kalfie. They now have this affair mystery thing. Then maybe when that all comes out, Alfie will go off with Roxy, a divorce will come through, we then shall have to watch them get over this divorce ... it goes on :sleep:
