Hot iPad3 recharger plug?

Not sure if this has been brought up before but, sometimes, when I recharge my iPad3 the plug gets rather hot. I just unplug it and give it a chance to cool down then replug it to continue the charging.

Anybody here experienced this too?

S'wot they do. As long as your cat doesn't sit by it, it's ok.

It's only going to get as hot again so there is no point in doing that - all chargers warm up when in use...I'm assuming this is a proper Apple one though and not some cheappie £1 special?

Don't keep turning it off and back on then...if anything that's worse for the unit - when it gets hot everything inside expands slightly and then when it cools sown it all contacts - all you are doing is getting it to expand and contract more often so speeding up the units demise

I always charge mine when it gets below 50%, sometimes I leave it charge overnight if it's below something like 10%
