Gerry Anderson has alzheimers

The creator of classic shows such as Thunderbirds, Stingray, Captain Scarlet and Joe 90 (to name a few!) has revealed he has alzhiemers disease. Read it on the BBC website today. Sad news, my thoughts are with him and his family.

That's awful - I'm sure Brains, Professor Popkiss & Professor McClaine are working on a solution

A Knighthood for Gerry Anderson ASAP! He's made a more lasting contribtion to TV than most of the deluded attention seekesr currently clogging up the airwaves (apart from "Terrahawks", obviously).

That is sad. Will this effect the new version of Thunderbirds he was reported to be working on a year or two ago, or was that another made up tabloid tale?

I liked Terrahawks
Joe 90 was the weak link imho

Sad news about Gerry - hope he & family don't have too bad a time of it.

So sad. Despite the obvious question of how the Moon get's so far in such a short space of time, Space 1999 has to be 1 of the best sci fi shows EVER! I grew up with his shows and hope hes stays with us for a long time still to come
