DVD fault - any ideas?
I bought the Terminator 1 DVD last week, but the disc seems to be faulty. When I watch it on my PS2, the picture starts to skip on Chapter 18, and then an error message comes up saying 'Unable to read disc.'
However, when I play it on my PC, no such error occurs. Is my DVD faulty, or my PS2? |

I had the same problem (on a Sharp player, not a PS2). Discs would play ok in my PC but not on the player. I took it in to a repair shop under guarantee and they replaced £150 worth of bits (probably everything inside it!). It works ok now.
I think it's a fair assumption your PS2 may have a problem. |

same happened with my PS2 - for 'bless the child' (wife's choice
) but when i took it back to the rental place it worked on theirs! Have you the new remote and software? I have found no problems since getting the new update - inc. lip sync.

Yes...
I have RegionX and the remote, with the 2.10 release of the drivers. I'm going to exchange the DVD anyway... there is no harm in trying I suppose.
