The Brigade
I haven't watched every US BB series but my first whole series and still my favourite was BB12 where the Brigade was formed.
How much do you all think The Brigade has influenced BB game play since then, and even other games? I thought they were brilliant. Making a pact on almost day 1, making pacts everywhere else too, but sticking to the original one, and sticking till the very end. I can imagine if I ever went on Survivor or something similar and just getting to know people I'd probably try whispering to them "do you know what The Brigade is? wink, wink, let's do one" and I think I'd feel safer after that. Who liked the Brigade? |

I thought the Brigade were terribly overrated, and all so blissfully boring as contestants
BB12 was absolutely dreadful, especially after the exciting two seasons prior to it.Sure, actually carrying out the early pact was impressive, but their success was pretty much all down to everyone else hating Brenchel and Brenchel hating everyone else, thus being to distracted in getting them out to see the bigger threat in front of them. It was just a bit to easy for them. I don't think any of the Brigade were outstanding players. Hayden played a good game and was a worthy winner, but that's about it. Matt started with promise, but didn't deliver, and the other two were just sheep. Seriously, I give them credit for actually sticking together, but they had zero opposition that season. |

The only good alliance in my eyes was the Sovereign 6 because they had good competitiors. Every other alliance always has boring contestants or people hated by the public

I found it really hard to get into BB12-probably my least favourite season. Literally every single time I tuned into live feed it was just hours and hours of the Brigade playing pool, Brittney and Ragan bitching about Rachel and Kathy slothing about on the sofa.

BB12 is probably my least favourite season that's only redeeming quality was Rachel and Britney.
I think even BB9 was better from a pure train wreck point of view.

BB9 was the first season I watched when it was on E4 but back then I didn't really understand what it was all about, then BB6. By the time I got to BB12 it was tough to watch through

I agree, I hate BB9 but BB12 was just so boring and barely anything happened.
Perhaps not in gameplay but definitely in the crazy people in close quarters, sometimes with cucumbers in orifices sort of way. Slop-induced seizures optional of course. ![]() Edit - I think BB12 is still boring me to this day. ![]() There was just something about Hayden, Lane and Enzo sat together in a room that switched my brain off. |

The whole idea of having each member have parachute alliances and focusing on the two biggest targets in the house is brilliant. One can say that they lucked into it but looking back, they formed super early and took advantage of the emerging Brenchel. I mean can you blame them for sitting back when the rest of the house was going to do their work for them? Also a move could have been swinging over to Brenchel's side but why would anyone align themselves with the biggest targets and biggest challenge threats especially when they weren't targeting them?
At the end of the day not all good gameplay is exciting, and no one knew what was happening til it was over. |

Ugh, I couldn't stand Lane.. He was such a pig.. But I came around to liking Hayden.. I really think Hayden played a masterful game, which is surprising since I believe he was one of the youngest and seemed sort of immature when the series first started.
Rachel Rielly is in my top two favorite BB players of all time -- Janelle is my #1... I loved Rachel during this season, even though I was one of the few who did... I am glad that she was able to redeem herself -- at least in some people's eyes -- during this past season..and I am so psyched she won! |
