The Good Guys - Sky1

Anyone going to be watching this cop show starring Colin Hanks and Bradley Whitford tonight on Sky1 at 11:45pm. It aired back in 2010 on FOX in the States and was cancelled after one season.

I have also noticed that the show will be switching to Friday nights next week with a repeat of the pilot at 11pm and the second episode will be then air on the 13th of July

This looks good...reasonable reviews on IMDB and I loved Bradley Whitford in the West Wing and Studio 60 on Sunset Strip

Thanks for posting. Didn't know this was on. Think I'll give it a go, especially since there's not much that interests me on TV at the moment.

The second episode will air 13th July, the pilot will be repeated 6th July as the show will be switching to Friday, I believe the episode on Saturday was a preview as it was lead in by Forrest Gump.

I've watched the preview now. I found it a bit formulaic, but will stick with it for a week or two and see if it grows on me.

I have watched the first two episodes of this and quite liking it. I had to get over the Colin Hanks thing though as the last season of Dexter is still pretty fresh in my mind!

Some laugh out loud moments and two pretty endearing leads, has potential think I will stick with it

Anyone know the reasons behind this not appearing in Sky1's schedules for the last 2 weeks?

Not sure what Sky are playing at with this series.

They showed the pilot episode a few times, then buried the series in the early hours of Saturday morning, and then it disappeared altogether.

I got the Tivo to search the next episodes and it came up with a couple of Sky 2. I wonder if they've relegated it there now.

Oh, I've searched Digiguide, and there's no mention of this. What dates come up on your box?

They have disappeared.

It should have recorded one at midnight last night, and the same next Wednesday night but they've been replaced by repeats of Hawaii Five O.

Looks like it's gone for now!

Yes The Good Guys does appear to have vanished from the Sky One HD schedules but it was advertised in The Suns Saturday pullout TV Magazine as being broadcast on Wednesday Night (5th) at 1am and Friday Night (7th) at 1am. (The News International connection being used here.)

This is just how BBC2 treated Seinfeld and ITV4 treated Late Night with David Letterman.

With so many repeats on Sky One at the moment there cannot be a scheduling problem and I would have thought that Sky One and its paying customers like us would have welcomed something new no matter how long it lasted in the states.

It may not be the most brilliant cop show ever but it is dam site more entertaining than watching the incessant repeats of British made programmes such as Idiot Abroad 1&2, Cop Squad, Brit Cops, Road Wars etc..

There were twenty episodes of the Good Guys made and I can’t remember how many of them that Sky One has shown so far.

Perhaps BskyB feel it would have a better home on FX HD.

I was considering 'obtaining' the rest of the series, but a Digiguide update today has Sky 1 *so far* to show (from episode 9) Good Guys on Saturday 6th October at 1.30am.
