Saw this yesterday, really enjoyed it but I'd say it was about 15 minutes too long, pretty standard rom-com 3.5/5.

Is it as good as Bridemaids? It's basically got EXACTLY the same cast.

I thought Adam Scott was really good, but Jennifer Westfeldt's frozen face was incredibly distracting.
It's not a LOL-fest, but I did enjoy it. |

thought this film had potentially but was absolutely ruined by the lead actress (who also wrote and directed and is also john hamm's partner). her face just looked 'odd' and she had no presence or comic timing. plus i felt like she was a total bitch.
john hamm and kristen wiig did more with their 5 minutes than she did in 2 hours the male lead wasn't too great either and i hated the last line - just made me gag which i doubt was the intention. |

it's hard to feel sorry for upper middle class people too in bridesmaids it seemed more 'real', her losing her business, having no money etc, things a lot of people can relate too |

HATED how Adam Scott kept calling his friend 'Doll' and 'Jule'.

Saw it today and thought it was pretty good, the start was a bit manic but then it settled down to be rather good, I thought the ending was just right, if a little bit predictable.

I'm pretty easily entertained, but this did nothing for me. I could tell there was a good film in there somewhere, but it just wasn't exercuted right.
