Hi there,

I have Three's The One Plan and tether the internet but adult websites are blocked despite them not being blocked when accessing them on my phone. I have rang Three to inform them I am over 18 and wish to lift the bar and they gave me a PIN code, I went on Planet 3 on my mobile and typed this code in. I can use adult websites on my mobile but they're still blocked when I access them on my laptop, using my Three connection.

I get the following message:

Adult Site Blocked
Account Settings

We can’t show you this content because your phone has ‘adult filtering’ turned on.

To turn it off you’ll need to verify that you’re over 18. To find out how to do this and to get more information, please follow the link below:

If you’ve already verified your age and you have a PIN you can log into the Planet 3 ‘Restricted’ area using the link below:


Restricted Log-in

Set-up a PIN

Navigate
> My3 Account
> Store"


I then click "Restricted Log-in" thinking I can input my pin code and I will be OK but I get the following page:

"Device Not Supported

Sorry, your device is not currently supported on this service.

Does this mean that adult content is permanently blocked on Three when tethering the internet on my laptop? It seems stupid because I can access these sites on my mobile but not on my laptop when I tether the internet. Any advice?

Maybe they are unlocking it on the three.co.uk APN but no the 3internet apn.

Just tried it and I don't have this problem tethering with my iPhone.

That uses the three.co.uk APN for everything as far as I know.

Think I should ring them and explain content is still blocked on my laptop.

I have tried to access the internet suing WAP and Internet on my laptop and both block adult sites but they are fine on my mobile. Very confusing.

Untill you get three to fix the problem try using opera. I know that on the iPhone & o2 some sites are blocked but with opera they work fine

Use Hotspot Shield. Three block a lot of non adult sites claiming they are adult.

Thank you for the other responses, I tried an adult website just now and the block appears to have been lifted but I will keep the other options in mind just in case the block randomly appears again.
