I have to admit, when I very first heard of scientology many years ago, I actually thought hmmm... I could get into that. A religion based on science and not mystical figures from books of fiction written by backward people in a backward time when the human race had no better way to explain things they didn't understand.

But nope... more of the same, and worse at that. But at least scientology is honest, they don't hide the fact it's based on a SciFi novel. I'll give them credit for that, but that's all as it's clearly nothing but a profiteering cult scam based on complete make believe and lies.

Dove, any thoughts on how Tom & Co will approach the divorce and Katie's apparent blindsiding of him? Katie & Co seem, to date, to have played a blinder in getting the most effective stories out to get the media/public firmly on her (and of course, Suri's) side. Also, Tom doesn't have the clout that he did back when he divorced Nicole so it seems (imo) that he's now in a very weak position here as far as custody goes, particularly if the case gets heard in NY rather than Cal. Also, another thing very much against him now is the much more widespread knowledge of and disgust at/denouncement of scientology - thanks to both Anonymous and those who've managed to leave and come forward with their experiences.

Be interesting to see how they approach it.

I really don't know which way it's going to go because just when you think the Church of Scientology can't make another really stupid mistake, it does.

An awful lot will depend if Katie Holmes can keep her nerve. Right now she will be classified as a 'suppressive person' and according to Scientology doctrine,

May be deprived of property or injured by any means by any Scientologist without any discipline of the Scientologist. May be tricked, sued or lied to or destroyed.

Keep in mind that Scientologists must reveal everything about themselves in auditing sessions, every deed and every thought and everything is recorded and those details only remain confidential as long as the person remains in good standing with the 'church'.

I can't help but think this will be a test of what has been achieved over the past four years. Things are certainly a lot different from when Nicole Kidman could be subdued into silence and parted from her children.

All this CoS talk has made me look into it deeper, to try and understand why some one may chose this particular religion..tbh I havent found anything that would encourage me to join, I am finding the information against the church far more interesting than the 'religion' itself.

If this is how someone is introduced to CoS I really cannot see why they would want to follow it up...the man talks a load of rubbish and it seems obvious that he is trying to put words into the girls mouth (I think she deflects him very well).

Either the man was having a bad day though or he needs sacking as a stress tester/analysist, he was totally rubbish.
