Is this a rubbish brand of clothes? Keep seeing nice tops online and a really low price...

No idea what its clothes are like these days, but it used to be up there in the realms of "designer" labels.

Your post is the first I've heard of it in years to be honest!

Pierre Cardin used to be an exclusive designer, then the company started selling their name to all and sundry. What you buy now is mostly franchised tat.

But if it's a design that you like at a reasonable price, go for it.

I bought a pair of PC jeans from sports direct. Cost £8, supposedly reduced from £40. They're decent quality and look really nice.

I've seen plenty of chavs wearing hollister, Burberry and Ben Sherman, but never Pierre Cardin. If anything, it's more of a dad brand.

If you think the quality and design is good for the price, then buy it. At some point in the past it was dept store designer level. I considered a PC dress shirt a long time ago. Now it's just a label slapped on anything. It's not a street cred brand if that's what concerns you.

It's a nice, short sleeved shirt I bought for work, however you know what work people are like. Any words or brands can be taken the piss out of.

Sod 'em. If you like it and it makes you feel good and it was a good price, leave the inadequates you work with to stir things by themselves and wear it.

Pierre Cardin was a good brand in the 60s but licensed the name to all sorts of companies who produced anything from dress fabric (I have some 80s Pierre Cardin dress fabric and it is gorgeous) to watches to... in fact, I have just Googled and found this article. It's fascinating. The name was licensed to about 400 companies worldwide and there are even Pierre Cardin lavatories. You probably don't want to tell your workmates that.

Sometimes it's better to have no brand visible than certain brands visible.
