It's my breakfast choice this morning. Cold milk and sugar and eating it while there are still hard bits, or doing hot milk and sugar so it's porridge like. I like both ways, but I'm saying the hot milk mix is the more likely to bring on a wind effect.

Weetabix is one of those foods that seemed to taste much better when I was a child.

weetabix is very boring breakfast and also has a high glycemix index rating and because its baked, its not very healthy. I recommend muesli.

Muesli is usually really high in calories, and has a really high sugar content due to the fruit and fat from the nuts.

Weetabix with cold milk is ok. The smell of Weetabix with hot milk on them turn my stomach though. I used to work in an office with a woman who had Weetabix and hot milk every day for her lunch, honestly I could not walk into the kitchen after wards.

It could be the milk making you windy, not the cereal.

I don't know why, but whenever I eat Weetabix, I feel more faint and shaky an hour later, than if I'd skipped breakfast. Can anyone explain that?

I haven't eaten weetabix for about 20 years. I did have a craving for it a couple of weeks ago with cold milk and banana but I didn't act on it as I didn't think it would taste the same as I remember

It's my favourite cereal with a couple of spoonfuls of all bran, banana and some raisins.

I love weetabix obviously .....you cant beat it with some warm milk and a handful of grapes. The recommendation of muesli instead of weetabix is crazy as it usually has a very high sugar content and therefore quite unhealthy and fattening. A healthier option would be to have porridge, which I did have for a long time but I prefered the taste of weetabix.

Whay has OM gone inactive? I can't imagine her hurting a fly (unless it landed in one of her lasagnes).

True. I am find dairy products increasingly difficult to digest as I get older. Some form of lactose intolerance.

When I have Alpen (basically deconstructed Weetabix with a few raisins thrown in) I fart all day every day. It just doesn't stop. At all. It's like being a cow.

And I take all cereals with soy milk, so it's not the milk.

I really like weetabix but it gives me horrific heart burn. It is the most heartburn inflicting food I can eat. I know its not the milk as I did a lot of milk.

I wondered about that too. Hope she's OK.

That's the way I like it. Never had it cold. Cold milk and cereal is a no-no for me.

I use to love Weetabix when I was a kid. I use to have two at a time, about a one spoon sugar, milk, and then the microwave. All nice and soft, nice and sweet. I remember when I stayed away at a relative, and she served me some... with cold milk It did not taste nice, it was so hard, and hard to eat. A knife would of been bloody better then a spoon! Soft, gooey and sweet for me.

Weetabix does make a great snack, doesn't it?

On the odd occasion I have Weetabix, I like 2-4 bisks with lots of oat milk and a teaspoon of sugar. The result is a sweet gooey mess, but it's absolutely delicious.

The Aldi Harvest Morn brand is just as good, and cheaper too.

Like it cold with a sprinkling of chopped roasted hazelnuts, a sprinkle of sugar and some single cream.

Heated it up - it stank and tasted horrible.

Makes you go

Years before I was so health conscious and switched to semi-skimmed milk, I used to like Weetabix with gold top/Jersey milk, no sugar. I had Weetabix a couple of years back and it tasted mushier and not as crispy as I remembered it.

I can only eat weetabix if I crush it up first in my hands, then add some sugar and then cold milk, but I have to eat it before it gets all soggy! Have done that since I was teeny weeny
