"Beatles rip offs"? So what did they rip off? Liam certainly does his best to look like Lennon... But apart from that, very little. They sound more like the sex pistols, I suggest you get off the bandwagon

The talentless impersonating the talentless. The Smiths, Joy Division and early New Order did it so much better.

Johnny Marr is an avid football fan, supports City just like the Gallaghers. He even had football trials in his youth. Best not to say what The Smiths probably found vile if they didn't at all.

I personally think Christina is awesome but I can imagine some people mentioning her here, especially the 'not myself tonight' video.

Take a chill pill. It's not something to be over-analysed. An opinion on your interpretation of class in music stars would do thanks.

Sid Vicious, an anti social, homophobic talentless berk who had all the charm of a wasps nest in your garden.

Well I take your point in good heart, I'll go and lie down in a cool dark room it's just it seems open invitation to have a go at anyone for any reason.

That said in your defence, any thread that includes the reply above pointing out Johnny Marr is an avid City fan and therefore not to be pigeon holed as not "laddish", can't be all bad. Made me smile big time that

Haha it's too warm I'll envy that cold dark room! Well as always in the forums, it's open to everyone. Some people like to have a go and some like to make valid points. Have to grin and bear it I suppose

Bearing in mind that this is based on what I have seen and read:

Chris Brown. You hit a woman, son. Multiple times, according to the report. You lost the right to moan about your treatment since from the moment you lifted your finger.

Lil' Wayne. Reportedly told a model turning up for his video shoot that she was not welcome because her complexion was too dark. If this is true, I'll leave you to work out how retarded this is as I have no words.

Any urban/rap star who takes pops at his enemies instead of ignoring them like a man.

The other poster was trying to say that The Smiths probably thought football was vile, I was pointing out that it isn't fair to bring up football when you're attempting to criticise musicians. Following football does not automatically equate to laddish.

I fail to see what's funny, maybe you could enlighten me.

It's not what you wrote that was directly funny, it was the fact the previous poster had assumed that the Smiths (et al) wouldn't like football. Your refuting of that was the amusing bit at their expense (well to me - ill go and lie down again)

A lot of rappers are mysonigistic twits who glorify violence.

There are loads of celebs that get violent, get community service and still moan, that's normal.

If that's true that's weird. Lil Wayne isn't exactly Eminem or Chris Brown.

I agree.

I think it is due to his taste for lighter-skinned black women, and I read that darker complexions are still considered less attractive overall, even in the urban music industry.

It's still ****ing stupid, and because of my tastes for darker-skinned women, utterly alien to me.

Reportedly they got on fine, contrary to popular opinion.

I never got the antagonistic punk thing. The whole point for me was to prove that you could write great songs and break into music without having to be a muso versed in theory and play on songs lasting an hour.
