Hi friends,
I would really appreciate your help/knowledge on televisions and decoders.
I need to buy a television for my parents in Italy.
I had a look on amazon.uk because amazon.it hasn't got the same variety of products. Shipping is free anyway.
The main question is if these televisions (bought here in the UK) will work in Italy and get the ordinary channels that televisions in Italy receive.

I'm choosing between these two models :

1) As first choice
Toshiba 22BV501B 22-inch Widescreen HD Ready LCD TV with Freeview

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Toshiba-22BV.../dp/B005C2PCYU

2) As second choice
Digihome LED22913FHDDVD 22-inch Widescreen Full HD LED TV with Freeview and Built in DVD

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Digihome-LED.../dp/B006W6RETQ

Please let me know.
Thanks very much.

Did you mean that delivery to Italy is free if bought from Amazon UK?
Both TVs state 'Delivered FREE in the UK'

It doesn't seem so:

A TV would, I assume would be 'other categories' and the shipping quoted is
Other categories - £15.79 £3.79/kg

This may help about using a UK TV in Italy

Most TV's these days are pan-European, so you just need to tell it what country you are in when you get there - both those sets are cheap Vestels, and the Vestel sets I've seen recently ask for the country on first power up.

best to log on to amazon.it and chose what you want from there and then it can be delivered from Italy , Do you or your parents know what a horrible viewing experience all sub 32" lcd / led TV's are ? they have been downgraded even from the junk that was on the market 2 or 3 years ago !

yes, it is free delivery in Italy because it's from Amazon Eu. I've also tried to put in on the basket and proceed with the delivery on the italian address. I can guarantee that it's free.

Unfortunately amazon.it is not as good as amazon uk.
There are not enough products available and not many people buy from there, so you can't see the reviews and find out which is a good television. In UK you can, and reading customers opinions makes a huge difference in buying a product.
