I recently was upgraded to 60 Mbps and expected to access sites in a flash. Some remained slow and I put it down to their servers. I had noticed for some time that Virgin email didn't display quite right and that I wasn't able to play their videos.
I eventually phoned and spoke to a very helpful agent. After some questions and trying a few things he suggested that the fault lay with me using the XP operating system and Explorer 8.
He reckoned that Explorer 8 was out of date but Microsoft hadn't made newer versions available to XP users. He suggested changing to another browser and see if that made a difference.
Not being an expert I was a bit reluctant but installed Google Chrome and much to my delight things improved dramatically. The sites that were slow to open were now there instantly and the VM videos opened no bother.
I thought I would post this as advice to anyone who might have the same problems.
