Tom Cruise - loved him sooooo much in his Risky Business/Top Gun Days and even liked him quite a lot up to the first or maybe second MI. But his words and behaviour are awful IMO and now just seeing his picture makes me shudder.

Kerry Katona/Peter Andre - I never minded them much, I always thought they were harmless dipsticks but now agree with all of the comments above about them.

I feel the same, used to really be a big fan but can't stand him now.

Mel Gibson. Truly, madly, deeply in love with him for a long time... and then he turned out to be a racist, anti semitic, who cheated on his wife while pretending to be a devout catholic.

Rizzle Kicks. Thought they were fun, genuine, talented lads. Until I read this:

As a major fan of McFly I don't like the way RK sneer at the thought of being likened to McFly. put me right off em

She was married to Bryan McFadden from Westlife when they were huge and then she won IACGMOOH.

She earned shed loads of money for doing f*ck all and then it all went pear-shaped.

Bryan left Westlife, they got divorced, she lost her Iceland contract, went bankrupt, and won't admit that she's a nobody without any talent so she's constantly trying to get back in the media circus that pays loads for doing nothing.

I used to think he was gorgeous and a great guy, but now he does nothing for me and I think he's a pretentious fool :-(

Yes. Usually as they get more famous and their personality changes -or rather, their personality as I perceived it.

Johnny Depp pretentious? What the hell has he done to make you think he is pretentious? if anything he always still come across as humble and as softly spoken as ever.

i don't know about the pretentious part, but something about him really seems to have changed during the last year. I don't know if it's a mid-life crisis or if I've just grown out of this particular crush but I just feel "meh" at best when I see him now, and "ugh" at worst. He did say a few things that are probably at least partly responsible for making me go off him to such an extent, even though he quickly apologised for one of them.

I also feel irrationally disappointed about him splitting with Vanessa. It seemed like having her children brought out the best in him, so I wonder what will happen now.

Also who shows their tits on stage when your kids are dancing on stage with you. Wreaks of desperation !!

Sorry if this has gone on to being a Madonna rant.

Have you ever gone off a celeb that you used to be very fond of?
I feel a similar way about Madonna. However, shes been a massive star for 30 years, so Im treating her current behaviour as a "wobble" and I hope when she makes future albums she gets over her Gaga jealousy & desperate desire to show her bits off...

Elton John until he turned into a spiteful, jealous, vindictive old woman. Everytime I see him now it's like her about to say something cruel.

I used to like Dannii Minogue until she made some remarks on immigration that I really disliked.

Similarly, I had a lot of respect for Muriel Gray until she defended the Blair Government's detaining the children of asylum seekers for over a year when they knew they were becoming mentally ill as a result. It was such a morally bankrupt position that she actually makes me feel nauseated when I see her on television now.

She was taken out of context and the newspaper and reporter apologised without reservation as she threatened to take them to court.

It's purely my opinion, of course, and I realise I'm more likely to look a fool by saying it
But I just have the instinct lately that everything about him is contrived - like he's always playing a role.
He's gone from wild, untamed young actor who proffesses to hate being good looking and famous, to devoted Partner and Father who loves the quiet life - now he appears to be morphing into Keith Richards!
I know we all change, and I can't articulate this very well, but I just feel like none of it seems very sincere - but, hey, what do I know?!
Even the artfully scruffy way he dresses suddenly seems really
contrived.
I used to adore the guy but as Nyota says, I feel very "meh" about him lately.
(In fairness though - his visits to children's wards etc., have to be commended.)

Have to say Madonna too, I really loved her in the 80s, thought she was great and still think she's made some of the best pop music ever and still like some of her current stuff.

She's a bitch and it used to really amuse me but now I just think she's silly.

If anything he is more likely to be pretentious in his younger days when he was more wilder and trashing hotel rooms..he doesn't do any of those things now... and he still never bigs himself up in ANY interviews ..unless you can provide evidence to the contrary?

No - I don't think I said he bigs himself up in interviews?
Like I say - I've gone off him - I don't expect anyone to agree with me; just giving an opinion... I'm not saying I hate the man or anything - just that I'm not keen on him but once was!

Madonna was a huge fan in the 80s as a young teenager, went off her during her Erotica, BDSM phase, loved her again when released Ray Of Life until Hung Up. But seriously gone off her since she has got to old to do what she is doing with an dignity and her adoption of Mercy made me feel uneasy.

Johnny Depp here too. Good looking, but I think he's a bit of a plank. Disappointed in his naff musical tastes and him splitting with Vanessa Paradis really disappointed me, I thought they were together for good. I loved the way he referred to her as 'my girl' and how he was so devoted as partner and father. Shame.

Two for me.

Simon Cowell. I used to love him on American Idol. His artculate putdowns used to make me proud to be British when the American college jocks used to look baffled at his insults.

But after the first Cheryl Cole season of XF it became obvioud what a bloated corrupt meglomaniac he was. The fiddling to up his and Cheryls chances was obvipus and it was obvious he was calling the shots behind the scenes with some vicious editing of the contestants.

Recently its been Gary Barlow since I heard he was a Tory plus the tax fiddling and royal brownosing to boot.

Jude Law. Used to think he was really hot and seemed devoted to his kids, but then the whole nanny and love child thing turned me off him. and he started losing his hair.

Couldn't agree more and include David Walliams too. Used to think he was fab, can't stand him anymore. Actually all the XFactor, Britians got talent judges are a bunch of sickening luvvies
