Peter was making his talkSPORT Live debut today, as was the former Charlton and Blackpool forward Jason Euell who co-commentated on the early game.

On talkSPORT UK, Geoff Peters was supposed to be reporting on Leicester City v Cardiff City but technical issues at the KP Stadium prevented him from doing so as far as I heard. Geoff still did his usual Championship preview during the early part of Matchday Live though and he is reviewing the action in that league on Extra Time as I type this.

Isn't it 104.6 rather than 104.7?

Is the regional show still on from the other H&W studio, but only on Stoke & Shropshire?

Is any national radio station covering the Sunderland V Man City match? I'd have thought that would be a more attractive option than Norwich V Chelsea, although given the day of the match I suppose it's possible the choice might have been affected by the location of those involved in the coverage, etc.

Does anyone know how many commentaries Simon Brotherton has done for 5 Live this season? I know he did the Swansea V Middlesbrough cup tie the other week but don't remember him doing too many more. Personally I think it's a shame as I consider him to be pretty much 5 Live's best commentator and I think his radio work is considerably stronger than his TV work.

That's his only commentary of the season, with a few matches as a reporter. Since MOTD returned in 04 he's tended to do mostly midweek matches and with most CL and League Cup matches only have 1 commentator this season and no Europa League commentary there's been much less opportunity. I expect there's a good chance of him doing FA cup commentaries.

The 5 Live set up has been slighlty strange I think. With Fletcher doing nearly all the Saturday lunchtime matches, Murray the 3pm match and Green always likely to get a match it leaves Ingham, McNamara, Dennis, ABB and now Brown competing for the other slot and the less frequent Monday night PL match.

On to today

Swansea v Man Utd - Ian Brown + Kevin Radcliffe
Chelsea v Aston Villa - John Murray, David Pleat + Alan Green

Kilmarnock v Hibernian - Roddy Forsyth
Hearts v Dundee - Ian Turner
Ian Aberdon

Yes, noticed more Darren Fletcher & more Ian Brown on R5L, both of which are welcome in my view.

I'm surprised that Sun vs City isn't a game on anywhere but it may be location/weather related

May I take this opportunity to wish everyone in this thread a very happy Christmas.
