Massive commiserations Soppyfan, you definitely didn't deserve to be left actless so soon...

Also commiserations to Jess, losing two acts in one show is quite painful.

I'm absolutely gutted about this...

But I knew I would be screwed the minute I found out Kitty was in the bottom three.

Theme for Live Show Three

This show will be a special two part show.

To honour the large number of sporting tournaments this summer, the theme is Sport Anthems! Any song which has been used in conjunction or to represent a sport for any country or overall tournament.

Mentors must pick a second song based on the theme of...Summer Anthems! Summer holidays are just around the corner and I want some songs to get everyone in the mood!

Make sure you tune in for the next show on Wednesday and Thursday, each night from 6:30pm!

Kitty would've been amazing at Summer Anthems.

Do we pick sing-off songs this time on top of the 2 songs per act we already have to pick?

Also, I already loathe that first theme.

Thanks for reminding me.

You'll need to have sing-off songs ready for the second show.

Announcement

We keep coming to problems with getting song choices in for the short two days gaps. So if it's okay with the judges, I would rather stretch the show out longer, and over Summer, than this keep happening. We can delay the show for short periods of time also if people are on holiday. Let me know what you think!

Well on the topic of holidays, I'll have internet access through distant relatives's laptop during July and August, so that won't be a problem for me.

I think delays are better than a really short series- as of course I haven't sent my songs yet and the shows are really close together- meaning I obviously miss more shows than intended for RL scenarios!

(also go on holiday soon D

No show tonight, not until I get all song choices in. Hopefully we might be able to go for Friday?

Hello, I see I'm not the only one holding things up. I'm right in the middle of a very busy week, and that sports theme is impossible to pick songs for in the short intervals I have to pick songs.

I'm okay with the next shows being on Friday and then Sunday (I don't think many people would be able to make Saturday, me included), provided I'm able to come up with some proper songs.

Oh, and have I mentioned I HATE the sports theme?

I can't find any song even remotely fitting to any of my acts... Just out of curiosity, how did you find your songs so quickly?

Cause of them is an ex eurovision artist so I knew she'd released a song.
And the other one was by sheer chance, however I've just tried to change it.

Even find a really tenuous link like songs picked for The Olympics List, songs often used in cheerleading routines at American football, darts or snooker entrance songs etc

Yeah, the problem is that there aren't many songs in the indie and folk rock genres that relate to a sport. Soul would be the easiest to find, but I'm having trouble even with that.

Why do I have the feeling that the next show is going to be very heavy on covers?
