Hi there

I tried to post here a couple of days ago to ask for help in making a purchase decision for my first Widescreen TV. I was unable to register straight away and I've bought the TV already. Anyway, heres what I've ordered...

What do you think? Do you think it will perform well for me? Primary use will be watching DVD's, thats about it. Comments much appreciated.

Many thanks

I'd say go for the Panasonic - overall they have an improved picture quality over Sony Televisions. And it's an IDTV - Its got freeview built-in!

Hi guys, thanks for the replies I took delivery of my Sony TV today and so far it seems really nice so I think I'll be keeping it.

I'm just using the composite connection at the moment. Do you think the picture quality will improve much with a decent Scart cable?

Also, I've got my DVD player connected to my stereo Amp for audio, so whats the best connection just for transferring the picture?

Many thanks

You really must use a SCART with RGB signals from your DVD player - composite is nowhere near as good.

So a decent SCART lead from DVD to the correct RGB in socket on the TV is the way to go and that will also carry stereo sound if you don't have your HiFi on...
