My HTC Wildfire has died a death after 18 months light use with nothing more than a few rainbow pixels on the screen.

CPW are doing a "deal" for £7.50 per month with a choice of a "free" Wildfire S or Galaxy Ace.

This could be what I want for a replacement. Anyone got a view on these two phones. Half of me says wildfire for familiarity )but not reliability!) and the other half says Galaxy for a bigger screen.

Decisions, decisions......!!??

Galaxy ace is a Better phone than the wildfire s technically. But only just. Tbh you should go for a better phone but for the price you can't go wrong.

TVM Jabba. I am an (old!) not very frequent phone user but like wifi for when I am away from home and need browsing for things like weather and finance. Cheap and cheerful is fine so long as it works.

I'd go for the Ace as Samsung phones are very reliable and from what i've seen its much faster and smoother than the wildfire S. If you're happy with staying at the same type of phone then go for it as it is an excellent deal.

Mobiles.co.uk (a CPW subsidiary) have the same tariff with a free Xperia Mini, which spec-wise is a far better handset than either the Ace or Wildfire S. It even has 6 months free line rental via redemption.
The only downside, in my eyes at least, is that it's the white version only.
