Anyone think this could get 'celebrity specials'? I'm in two minds about it considering the reception it's been getting on here, but I'm not sure if it's exciting enough.
A lot more possible because it's on ITV who do actually pay differently based on what they think the celeb is worth. On BBC shows for charity everyone gets the same (very low) fee.

Celeb shows would more than likely be pushed to the weekend. Would you want to see this on a Saturday evening?

When there is nothing else on. Besides, if it gets 2 million on a weekday evening then it's surely successful, and maybe it'll be a lot more interesting when there are celebrities and a live audience.

I have an audition for this show.
I wouldnt say I am an attention seeker but I love seeing how the TV world works and I am studying Media TV/Radio at university.

I know my entertainment/bit of general knowledge/food but useless at politics/sport... but hopefully if i do get on i will bring some fun to the show , i am not expecting to win though but i could do with the money :P

If Wikipedia is to be believed, a new series starts on 2nd December.

We find out if we are successful by end of october then filming is during November. We were told the episodes would be going out in January.

Wikipedia now says there will be 35 exciting episodes in the second series broadcast over the five weeks from Mon 3rd Dec 12 - Fri 4th Jan 13. As that takes in xmas and the new year, I don't know if those dates can be trusted. But 35 more episodes? superb!

I don't care when they show them, so long as they show them. It's a great show. The thought of the tension as so many counters near the edge, and the disaster that a ghost rider could spell is incredible. There's nothing else like it on TV.

I had an audition for this show and they said there would be 40 episodes, so 160 contestants were required + reserves. We find out at the end of this month who has been selected for recording in November, broadcast in January (and February I assume).

Just a shame Tipping Point & the Chase have to be up against Pointless, though I suspect by the time Tipping Point is shown there would be a good chance that Pointless will be showing repeats of an earlier series.

New series starting on 2nd January

I'm not sure if it'll rate as well as The Chase this autumn, but it should rate decently against Pointless.

I won't be watching either. When did 'Pointless' become so patronising and snide?

Pointless became boring.

Interestingly it's on at 4pm, before The Chase, so the ratings will certainly be interesting.

It's starting on Wednesday 2nd January, followed by The Chase. A double bill of game shows!

I'm pleased it won't be clashing with Pointless as a new series of that starts on 2 Jan also.

Tipping Point is a great show. I watched the repeat of the last episode this morning just for a reminder of how exciting it all is and why I loved it so much. Riders, Ghosts, etc... what's not to like?

Just when i thought tv had scrapped the bottom of the barrel with Deal or no deal, opening stupid boxes for 45 minutes...

Along came Tipping point.. lol

At least Deal or No Deal had a certain tiny amount of tension involved

I'd rather go to my local amusement arcade and watch chavs on the 2p machine... at least you get some music and flashing lights there too

Presumably the people present at the meeting where the recommissioning of it was being discussed were as high as a kite, mentally ill, drunk or (most likely) a combination of all three

I am forever amazed at what passes to get on our screens...

Remember, this actually got commissioned...
What the hell was the stuff that got turned down like?
