Yesterdays episode was ok, I thought Bailey should have just went to the match with Jody. When they were standing at the bus station, he was already in trouble for stealing the tickets so may as well have saw the game. I would have done that anyway.

I agree. I actually thought that both him and Jody would end up watching it together.

I thought it was nice to see Faith return. She was one of my favouite characters in The Dumping Ground and she still is. I also like the close relationship that she still has with Bailey. There's always a moment where they have nice scenes together (kind of like a brother/sister relationship). I can sort of understand why she'd lie to her friends about her being in care. We've all been in that type of situation.

Bailey was also told a few home truths which was good. He has the tendency of either shutting people out, lashing out and doing things alone which is part of his character but he still needs to learn to establish some healthy relationships with others (as Jody encouraged him at the bus station) and he's already done a bit of that with Faith and Mo in the past. He even apologised for lashing out at her which shows that he's maturing a little bit. His caring for Mischief was also highlighted.

Other than that, I agree with you. This was just another "ok" episode. Didn't really care for the Floss/Toni/Billie/Tyler stuff. The only good thing to come out of it was Faith's realisation of that people like herself shouldn't have to be ashamed or hide the fact that they live or used to live in care etc.

Tee vs Ryan (Episode 14 Sneak Peek)

Tee attempts to reveal Ryan's true colours but it backfires...

Well, I have to say that episode was one of the best in the series so far! I love what a complex character Ryan is, and I liked seeing the slightly mean side to Tee again. She hasn't really shown that side to her since series one. I know I said previously that I didn't like the cliff-hangers that much, but I do sort of like the way the Ryan storyline is developing, hopefully there'll be a big climax at the end of the series where he gets his comeuppance and we'll also get to find out about his past. Him having a sister explains why he was so close to Harry and Johnny. What he did at the end of the episode was really surprising, but brilliant to watch. I did notice some mistakes when Tee was saying who came to the dumping ground when, though! I'm sure in series 2 Johnny said at one point that Tee was nine when she came to Elm Tree House, and she also got the order Floss and Mo came mixed up. It seems kind of unimportant after the way Ryan used the information, though!
Anyway, I've gone on for ages now, but I really enjoyed the episode. I think it's about my second favourite in the series, after episode 10.

This was a very good episode. I agree about it definitely being one of the best in the series so far. The conflict between Tee and Ryan has been building up ever since the start of Series 3 and it's nice to finally see it rise and develop a bit. Tee has always been one of my favourite characters. It was also interesting for them to show brief hints of Ryan's past what with mentions of his sister, brief appearance/mention of the old carehome and old faces from his past such as Laces telling Tee and Sasha that he was also a victim of Ryan's manipulation.

I've been speculating this moment for a long while and I've been looking forward to seeing Tee expose Ryan's true form. Ryan is very sneaky and is probably one of those characters that people will love to hate like me (I hate him). I paticularly liked the scenes where Tee formed the fake surprise birthday party and Laces revealing Ryan's true colours during those moments which left everyone wanting answers. I saw that ending coming from a mile though. As soon as they made up, I already knew that he'd turn the tides on Tee again. As soon as Mike left the room, his manipulative games took place again. I felt sorry and frustrated for Tee but it was good viewing. I do hope Sasha continues to side with her since I wouldn't expect her to be easily fooled since she's been told (by Laces) and has caught a glimpse of what Ryan can be like.

I like how we're seeing a bit of a more tough side to Tee again. She lost this battle but the war has only begun. Bring it on! And yeah, Ryan's bond with Harry and Finn makes more sense now. I really hope he gets his comeuppance and who knows, maybe we might see his sister too. It's all just waiting to burst out. He's bound to get what's coming to him. I hate the character but I'm liking the conflict in a way.

I also agree with you, Emma. They really need to stop pretending that they're living in the same house. It's just a load of bullshit at this point. I just rolled my eyes when Tee said that she lived in Ashdene Ridge since she was five. Lmao. They're not fooling anyone! Aside from Kazima, Bailey, Finn, Ryan and the twins, the rest of the household cleary grew up in Elm Tree House which was the same house that Tracy lived in (obviously not the same one in real life). They moved at the beginning of Series 2 (JIW) and it was never explained why they moved. (I know the old house was knocked down in real life but there was no actual reason given in the show).

But other than that, really good episode. Bring on the next!

Mo gets some bad news in Episode 15...

Surprised no one has posted after that episode. I think it was one of the strongest they've ever done. The lad playing Mo was very good.

I agree Mo was good, and the premise of the story had a lot of potential. But I just thought the script was clumsy and flat.

The last episode was good. But did the writers forget that Mo had a tragic background? In his introductory episode it was revealed that at one point he lived in a garden shed and he was scared of hoses as whoever lived with him would make him shower with a hose

I thought the episode was really good, definitely one of the best. I liked Mo's backstory, especially with the secret about his grandad. I was kind of annoyed that his parents had cerebral palsy, though; I mean, what with Frank and Layla, it's way overused, and there's loads of other disabilities which the show hasn't explored at all. I liked the subplot too, though, Carmen hasn't had a storyline for ages, so it was good to see her at least having something to do. I found it kind of annoying how the events of the previous episode weren't mentioned at all, though at least there was the awkward scene when Carmen was interviewing Tee, and also when Ryan was being mean about Mo.
Miraculously, someone has actually remembered that the kids go to school! I was kind of confused, though, I mean if Mo is ten, that makes him the same age as Harry and the twins, so wouldn't they have been in the play too? Anyway, never mind. I should stop ranting about continuity. It was definitely one of the best episodes so far, and it was great that Mo finally had a storyline.
The trailer for the next episode looks pretty good too, maybe Tyler will finally have some character development; he hasn't really changed since series 1, and still acts like he's about ten, so him getting a girlfriend in the next episode will hopefully mean he grows up a bit.

Speaking of strange continuity, Jodie is supposed to be 11! She clearly looks and sounds about the same age as the actress, 15!

I just watched last week's episode with Mo. While the premise and idea had good promise, I thought the execution was rather poor which was disappointing. It just didn't deliver for me.

Nevertheless, it was a so-so episode. Nice to see Carmen doing something for the side story but it was so obvious that Mischeif would be the thief.

Tyler is the centre in today's episode. It'll probably be fun filler or something. We'll see.

It was a first love/hobby thing lol!

I enjoyed this week's episode. It might sound harsh but a couple of the kids in TDG are really poor actors, so when you get a decent one like Tyler carrying the main story, it makes all the difference. It was touching, funny and not overdone.

Which ones are poor? I'm just wondering

I don't care much for the romance episodes, I prefer the ones to do with family backgrounds and those that give more of an insight into the care system.

For me it's Bailey, Ryan and Tee who are poor. The rest are either passable or good. But it also annoys me that some of the better kids never get a decent storyline.

I agree the show should generally focus on the family backgrounds and the care system, but at times it's also nice to see them going through the ordinary coming-of-age stuff like first loves. They are kids first and care kids second, after all.

I agree about Bailey, but I personally think Tee and Ryan are two of the best actors... that's just my opinion I guess. The ones I think aren't that great are Kazima, Floss and Billie, but they're all quite good characters so it doesn't really matter.
This episode wasn't my favourite, I prefer more dramatic storylines, but I enjoyed it all the same. It was good to see Tyler and Harry getting more storylines, they're both often quite underused. I find it quite irritating how Tyler still acts like he's about ten, but looks about fifteen, though. He hasn't really had much character development, if anything he's become a lot more immature. Harry is the same, he's meant to be ten by now, but he still always hangs out with the younger kids and plays with Jeff. This episode was at least a lot more well written than some of them have been, it really annoys me when episodes have a really good plot but are really badly written, like episodes 5, 13 and 15. Altogether it wasn't too bad an episode, though I didn't enjoy it as much as some of them.

This felt like a filler episode. Once again, that was another so-so episode. Nothing special or interesting this week.

I will say this though. Bailey has really started coming on his own lately. His scenes with Mo and Harry in these past two episodes have been pretty good. Carmen helping Tyler was nice too. Other than that, both today and last week's episode were really average at best to be honest.

I personally think the cast are pretty solid for the most part. With the exception of maybe Floss, the twins and Finn, the cast are pretty good actors. I only mention the twins and Finn because we have yet to see them with any decent material. They're still relatively new so I'll give them time. I have noticed that Floss is kinda limited at times. Can't say much about Ryan until they finish whatever they're currently doing with him but the actor certainly succeeded in making me dislike his character. We still have more to see from Sasha and I still think she's a pretty good addition. Tee and Carmen have always been very well acted even when they started off in TBR.

I still felt that Series 1 had the best cast (and all three series of TBR if we're splitting hairs). In terms of character development, I think the episode "Seriously Funny" was the last time that Tyler went through some motions where he was criticised for not taking things seriously and being immature. He ultimately tried to change himself but it didn't go so well. I felt that was a pretty good episode for him. I felt he also matured a bit in Series 2 during the episode where his mum came which was pretty good and also proving his mum's innocence at the start of this current series.

I think he should continue to mature more while still keeping that bit of his comedic persona when necessary. Harry on the other hand, yeah it's very noticeable that he hasn't gone through much change aside from having to do certain stuff without Sapphire's company. I really thought he would grow out of Jeff by now. In "The Real Faith Davis" (S1, Ep 5), he had Jeff taken away from him by Floss and I originally assumed this would be a permanent thing for some character development to come through but they ended up bringing another Jeff. He's now given another Jeff to Floss again and maybe this time will finally be a permanent thing?

Don't know if this is common knowledge but...

Well, I don't even know what to say about the latest episode! It was... kind of weird. The plot was okay and it was a reasonably entertaining watch, but the alternative reality thing was just confusing. It sort of reminded me of the game that was on the website in series 2 of Tracy Beaker Returns. I mean, I liked how the episode was quite different from most episodes, and it did make what could have been a terrible plot slightly more interesting... but... I don't know, the end of the episode just left me feeling confused. It was good that Carmen had a central episode, though, and I liked the way Kazima, Ryan and Floss were involved. I'd say this episode was quite interesting and entertaining, but not the best ever.

It was confusing at the beginning as I thought they were switching from future and past but soon it became clear that they alternative scenes. Overall a good entertaining episode. Something a 'bit different'.
