Betty fan club
I think Betty Turpin deserves a fan club
I love Betty. I was watching a Corrie special on ITV2 about the barmaids and it was great to see them pay homage to Betty.I just love her Les Dawson style nostril twitch and lift of the bossom. Shes like a fav aunt. |

I wish the writers would buck up their ideas and give her some storylines.

Betty is like a fixture of the Street but why dont they give her something to do! I'm surprised she is still there. I would have thought that as an actress she would have walked out buy now due to lack of screentime and story. When was the last time she actually had a storyline? Same for people like Emily, and also Rita until recently haven't doen anything for years. Why do they just sit there?

I agree. Betty is so under-used, there's always loads going on behind the bar in the Rovers.. surely it'd be very easy to give her character more of an involvement. A steamy affair with Ciaran maybe..

Betty Turpin is a ledgend. She should have more to do and more lines apart from the predictable "yes lovvie" "Yes duck" or "hot pot Ken"
Tho better Driver must be in her 80's now, and 5x a week a big story would be far too much for her! |
