While it is great that he feels comfortable enough to come out, the timing is a little suspicious. 12 days before his album is released and he makes a statement that makes him the most talked about guy in r&b with presumably media outlets now desperate to talk to him.

Yeah but that's because he comes out on his album anyway - his song 'Forrest Gump' is about being in love with a man. He premiered it at a few live performances which got people talking, so amidst rumours he decided to break the news himself. Nothing dodgy about that at all.
