I can't help being fascinated by him, and his chemistry with Brendan, despite the fact that I know he's going to turn out to be bad news for poor Brendo

I hope he doesn't turn out to be too irredeemable, eg being behind Lynsey's murder, because I think he has definite potential as the next resident villain. I'd be sad to think he might not last beyond 'Later'

My thoughts exactly. In one way I kind of like that they're drip feeding us info. I just hope they have had it all planned out from day one and aren't making it all up as they go along!

Thinking of putting all the bits of info we know together and see where that leads. What I can think of so far is;

Been in prison and known as Simon Walker there so assuming that's his real name. Don't know what he was in for or for how long. AKA Nick as Ally kind of knows him. Connection there, poss army. Possibly married with kids. Possibly not. Says he's gay but could be straight or bi.Contacts in property management via Ed Morrison.
What have I missed?

Well, we know that 'Simon Walker' doesn't exist, according to the hospital computer records that we saw Lynsey snooping on So, if Brendan got to know him as 'Simon' in prison, that means he was already going under a false identity. Why? That's the million dollar question Is he an undercover cop? Has he stolen someone else's identity? Is there any connection with Warren, or Danny Houston, and that's why he's sought out Brendan and is trying to get close to him?

I love his ice-cold, clinical detachment, his seductive manipulation and mind games, his ruthlessness, his manky old jacket, the way he says "hello! " I guess I just like the bad 'uns Although I should hate him, really, because he's (very likely) out to bring my beloved Brendo down. But I'm confident he won't .... I think ... *worries*

I hope Walker is in hollyoaks for a while, Neil Newborn is doing a brilliant job. It seems like soaps like using ex dream team actors

Loved Walker's subtle taunting of Joel tonight and OMG that smile/smirk!!!

It helps that he can actually act. And seems to be having fun with the character.

I think he trashed Brendan and Cheryl's place but I really don't see how that would get Brendan to come back (even though we know he does.. yayyy bring on tomorrow lol) considering Brendan wanted Cheryl in Ireland for her safety.

The thing about his name not registered on the hospital database as Simon Walker just means he hasn't been to the hospital, doesn't it?!
He must have some kind of identity as Simon Walker as he was known as that when in prison, although why Ally knows him as Nick is another story.

I also wonder whether he has a connection to Danny. Maybe his brother and wants revenge on Brendan for killing Danny.

And Emmett said that the last scene he's read for Later was the way it should end, or something like that.
If Cheryl, Joel, Walker and Brendan are in Later it seems like he is going to do something to Walker.
Unless of course HO is playing everyone and it's Brendan that dies in Later and we never get our Stendan reunion (sorry for mentioning Stendan in the Walker thread but just had to say )

Hmm, so if Walker was in cahoots with Sampson, would he have let it get so far as fatally injuring his brother? Which means maybe he isn't behind all this.
Then again highly suspect he found the obituary in the paper... Another set up? When are we going to start learning things about him???

Ok so I guess now we have confirmation that Walker is out to get Brendan, definitely trying to isolate him from everyone. Odds of him being behind Lynseys demise have also shot sky high. So is Brendan going to fall for it and be totally reliant on Walker over the next few weeks? Must do seeing as theres very few characters both of them can interact with on the show. Can't wait to see where this is going.

I've always been pretty certain that Walker is out to get Brendan. I just wish we were starting to see something about his background or motivation. I get why HOs don't want us to know - in their eyes, an OMG moment trumps a storyline you can get emotionally invested in because you, the viewer, can see the evil manipulator spinning his web, drawing in his victim, and you're rooting for his target (Brendan) to wake up and realise what's happening - but you have to watch helplessly, waiting to see how it will end. Oh Brendan, my poor baby! But they really have to start giving us something soon, it would make the storytelling so much more effective and compelling.

I'm not sure Walker is behind Lynsey's murder - definitely not directly, anyway, as there wouldn't have been time. Could he have put Sampson up to it? And why would Sampson go along with that if Walker was jointly (or solely) responsible for putting his brother in a coma? Unless the Casper obituary was faked (but how, I've no idea, as I know that only funeral directors can place an obituary notice, and not without proof of death).

It's pretty obvious that Brendan and Cheryl are heading for an estrangement Will Walker have played his cards cleverly enough so that he still has Brendan onside? I'm worried for Brendan, but I do love watching it all and the chemistry between them both makes for great viewing

I like walker/neil very much I think the character is really intriguing and hopefully we'll find out more about him in the coming weeks.

I don't know what to think about a possible Bralker relationship. Brendan and Walker are both going to be in Hollyoaks Later. And it seems a pretty strong certainty that we'll get some naked Brendan (yay! ) and, also, Emma Smithwick has hinted vaguely (via Twitter) that something could happen between them - but who knows!
I think it's possible that they'll sleep together, either in Later or before then. But I'm not sure it'll be anything that could be classed as a 'relationship'. More like Enemies-with-Benefits, I think!
But I look forward to seeing it, whatever it is

I'm worried that the only purpose for walker is to take brendan down because that would mean he could leave the show in a short time as i don't think brendan is going for now.

I think we'll start to see what Walker's all about soon now that Brendan pretty much has noone to talk to confide in other than him. Then again, there's still 6 to 10 weeks until Later and that's a lot of time to fill so will be interesting to see where they go with this. Particularly, will Brendan still see Walker as a friend or enemy when Later starts?

Yes.

There are 43 episodes of Hollyoaks left to air before Later airs. I know they will prob only be in around a third of them so I would hope we start to get an insight into Walkers motivations re Brendan soon.
Also wonder if Joel being left out in the cold is due to Walker manipulating the situation. Really hope so... Bring on next week as not sure Walkers going to be in any episodes before Tuesday. Hope I'm wrong.

what could be walker's motivations to ruin brendan (if that's the case)? he could be just a psycho or brendan in some way damaged someone walker cared about? I have the hope he will stay after later and that he isn't totally evil

I thought at first that Walker was something to do with Danny Houston and that's why he wants revenge on Brendan.
But I'm not so sure now because the only way he would know that would be from Warren seeing as Warren and Ste are the only people who know that he killed Danny.
I don't know what his motivation is but he does seem like he's out to destroy Brendan for some reason.
It's a shame as I love Walker as a character and I love the way that Emmett and Neil work so well together.
I'm now worried that if Brendan does kill someone else to protect Cheryl then he will go on the run and that will be what Later is all about.
How can he come back if he's on the run for murder.
Surely Later isn't the end of Brendan. Emmett did say that the last scenes he has read for Later are how it should be (something like that).
Is he going to kill Walker... then either get killed himself or he will be arrested.
We will never get our Stendan reunion, although I'm pretty sure that's a load of crap they have promised us to keep us interested as time is running out fast!

Me too. I wouldn't be surprised if Emmett Scanlan leaves soon, though I'd be gutted. I couldn't imagine him being in 'Oaks for years on end.

I think he is too good for hollyoaks, definitely the best actor in any soap at the moment. I don't want him to leave but I know that someday he will. He seems to enjoy being in hollyoaks though which is a good sign!

if he is related to Danny surely he would know that Danny was in the village and had contacts with Warren and Brendan before his death. if he thinks they killed him he could easily want revenge on Brendan so the story would be believable in that sense. Personally I wouldn't like it though because I don't think that Danny was this great character that deserves revenge for his death, I would be quite disappointed.
what if Brendan did something that resulted to be extremely damaging for Walker? I think Brendan's always been involved in dodgy business and he could have damaged a lot of people what do you think?

Yes, the thought did cross my mind a while back, that they might be lining up Walker as the new villain. They'll need another 'bad boy' when Emmett decides to move on. Or when they've finished reforming him into cuddly and safe Nu!Brendan - whichever happens soonest

But I really don't know what to think right now. Everything seems to be building towards some kind of epic showdown between Walker and Brendan in Later, and I think there can be only one person left standing. A few months ago, I'd have said that person would have to be Brendan - after all, ES had tweeted that Brendans SL had been mapped out until next Feb. And, once upon a time, Emmett told people that he'd warn fans in advance if he was planning to leave HOs. But I'm not sure that either of those things count for much any more. ES is notorious for her misleading tweets (and she also seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth recently. Is she still EP?), and I don't think Emmett would be allowed to give away his plans if they ruined a shock OMG! death planned for Later!

I really wouldn't be surprised if this years Later was the end of the road for BB. I'm gearing up for it now - I don't want to be misled and make assumptions that he's safe until next year at least, only to have my heart ripped out unexpectedly

And I still can't fathom out what Walker's motives are. Part of me thinks the Danny Houston thing could be a possibility - but, if he already knew about DH when he was inside with Brendan, why didn't he do something to him then? And if he didn't know anything about DH, what were his motives for wanting to get close to Brendan in prison (under, quite probably, an assumed identity?) Tis all very mysterious
