Aug 13th E4 'Brendan grows increasingly suspicious of Walker'. He's not at all suspicious yet so something must happen soon that makes him question walkers. motives. Can't wait and I bet Walker talks his way out of it...

It's a brain-ache trying to figure out what Walker's all about, so I've kinda given up and I'm just enjoying watching him.

Reading between the lines, yes, it looks as if he's plotting something against Brendan. We're certainly being directed to think that way, which makes me wonder if there's a twist somewhere. But sometimes we give HOs too much credit, thinking they're trying to double-bluff us, when it really is just as transparent as it appears to be. So I'm still none the wiser, really

But if Walker's SL is meant to be 'revolutionary', a bit of straightforward "out for revenge" stuff doesn't really fit that description, does it? There has to be something more to it - doesn't there?

yeah, being out for revenge doesn't make me think exaclty about a revolutionary sl but you never know, sometimes actors see their role differently from the audience unless the revoulutionary story has to do with the the things Walker would do to have revenge like sleeping with Brendan even if he's not gay

Very exciting. Especially can't wait to see whether they are friends or enemies by the end of that episode. But the spoiler for the day before seem to point towards both of them being set up by a third party??? And the day after Brendan's getting a confession from someone. Walker? As there's still approx 5 weeks until Later, I would think either they go their separate ways and don't interact again until Later, or else Brendan's bond with Walker strengthens as a result of the two-hander.
Either way, can't wait and I would hope we find out some things about Walker's motives in all this and he isn't lying through his teeth to manipulate Brendan further without the audience finding out anything.

I also read that someone was plotting against Walker and Brendan.
I'm wondering whether that is Joel as he knew about the drug deal and didn't like being left out.
Maybe he's the one that tells the police!
I don't know where all this leaves Walker and Brendan as they are filming lots of (bloody) scenes for Later so I don't know if they are enemies or friends by then.
I'm really looking forward to the two hander episode (although I would have preferred a Brendan and Ste two hander )

BIB Would make sense in a way. With Brendan out of the way, he would have free run of the club and it must be in his mind after Brendan raged at him. However, Brendan wouldn't forgive that and if Joel and Teresa are with them in Later, it suggests they're not enemies then.
Frustrating how whenever I think something logical must happen, there's a counter argument against it. Argh

And, with 5 weeks to go between this episode and Later, I'm hoping it means that Walker is not the Big Bad who is out to bring Brendan down, or behind Lynsey's death in any way, and they are still close leading into Later. So much potential for sexytimes


BIB: Yes, I get frustrated trying to work out the logic of things too, and being unable to. For instance, logic says that Walker isn't behind Lynsey's murder, as he couldn't have done it himself (lack of time) and Sampson wouldn't have done it on his say-so as I'd imagine he'd still be pretty upset with both Brendan and Walker after the Casper incident.
But I can see why Walker is top of the suspect list for some people, because he's been very shifty and mysterious throughout, and who else has a motive? I just can't figure it

If HO were logical they wouldn't cut Ste out of Later AND a two hander with Brendan.
I love Walker and his story with Brendan (probably won't if they do really turn out to enemies though lol) but I so wanted Brendan and Ste together in Later ... we didn't get it.
Now we get a Brendan and Walker two hander when we've waited two years for one with Brendan and Ste.

Although how Brendan and Walker are going to get out of being locked in this factory with the police on their backs and then do whatever they do in Later, which is still weeks away, is gonna be interesting to see!
You're right with Joel and Theresa also being in Later maybe it's not Joel who is responsible for the police being after them. It's all so confusing lol

Brendan first appeared in August 2010. 'Stendan' began in October 2010. I love the way that Stendan fans have been saying since the beginning of this year (if not earlier) that they've been invested in the SL 'for two years'. By the time two years have come around, you'll probably have been waiting for four years

But enough of Stendan, it's already consumed Brendan's thread, let's not do it to Walker's thread as well.

A whole episode with the delicious Simon Walker (and Brendan too ) in every scene is very good news, imo.

Yeah, this is what interests me. Is this two hander thingy going to be the "big reveal" where Brendan susses out what Walker's up to? Including maybe having killed Lynsey? In which case Walker will have to leg it and maybe will only resurface for the big showdown in Later? Or will Walker somehow manage to talk his way out of it (like usual), so he can string Brendo along for a bit longer?

I feel like Joel might betray Brendan at some point, but it's hard to see how it's now.

The thing that makes me think Walker and Brendan will still be on speaking terms in - at least some of - Later is that they've seemingly (and I could be totally wrong, because we only know what various people have tweeted) done a lot of filming together for it. If they were enemies, I would have thought their interaction would have been a lot less.

Am hoping after the 13th we'll know which way it's likely to go but I'm not holding my breath.

I try not to think too hard about the whole Samson drugs bust issue because no way would Walker go along with Brendan - who couldn't have looked any less sure of himself if he tried. I know nothing of criminals, but surely if Sampson was that big a crim he would have back up etc and Brendan and Walker would need to suss out the whole location/set-up etc for a while and need more people than just the two of them. There I go, thinking about it too much

Oh and I really am hoping that Ste runs 'back into the arms' of Brendan... and that Walker sees them...

Good point about Later - yeah, they'd hardly talk much would they if Brendan already sussed Walker was a total psycho. So maybe the whole 2 hander will be Brendan starting to suspect, realising he doesn't really know the guy, wondering how deep the lies go, how vulnerable he's left himself ... Knowing Walker, he'll have an answer for everything, but Brendan won't know whether to believe it.

BIB: You devil. But yeah. Walker has more power over Brendan the more he knows about those weak spots.

I'm actually getting goosebumpy thinking about this. I'll try tio adjust my expectations appropriately.

I hope it's a lot more complex than wanting to destroy Brendan. Fixation would be a lot more interesting. But I certainly want them not to be enemies come two weeks time because I want some hot Bralker scenes leading into - and definitely in - Later
Also post-Later, I'd love it if Walker continues with his fascination with Brendan and try to mess with Stendan when they get back together (don't shoot me!)

I can't see there being a grey area after the two hander - Brendan will either trust him completely or not at all. If he suspects him at all, I'm not sure the story-line will work leading up to Later. Walker only interacts with Brendan - and Joel if he must and if Brendan isn't talking to him then the storyline kind of hangs in limbo for 5 weeks.

If Walker has nothing more to do with Ste then what was the point of the weird deli scene and the comment to Brendan about thinking his ex would be more impressive. There has to be more to come there. Could Walker trash the deli?

In one of the mags today I read another spoiler that Brendan tries to talk Cheryl into coming back to Ireland with him and Declan but I can't remember if that's post two-hander or before. I guess before so maybe not significant to what happens in the factory.

BIB: Yes, I agree with this. The two-hander has surely got to be where everything comes out into the open about Walker and his motives? If it revealed to Brendan that Walker had been planning behind his back, or was responsible in any way for Lynsey's death, I can't see how Walker could survive and still be around for the Later episodes

Which makes me hopeful that the two hander leads to them becoming even closer.

And yeah, I wouldn't be at all surprised if Walker was behind the deli trashing.

really exciting spoilers! if Walker isn't the real enemy then the one that call the police could be Joel or are we supposed to think there is another person that want to destroy Brendan? I remember when Joel told Theresa that one day he will have the whole club. maybe he is isn't that attached to Brendan after all? especially after the way Brendan treated him recently

the story is ambiguous and could go in different ways.

I don't think that Ste/Walker scenes had a big purpose, they were there jut to show how Walker is capable to see the real Brendan's feelings.

Like cherrytree I'm honestly not sure about Ste involvement. They sort of signposted it as a way of Walker getting to Brendan, then it disappeared again, so who knows? But oh yeah, that could really work.

With the Bralker UST, I don't know what to think on that either. I'm so amazed there was no follow up to the snogfest, I'm almost thinking that it was just another ploy by Walker to get Brendan to trust him and think they were alike. I'm pretty sure Brendan wants to go there again, he gives him the full "let's f*ck" eyes, but Walker just keeps finding he has to be somewhere else, doesn't he? He's a tease in more ways than one.

I kind of think Brendan wanted to go there when he 'cracked open a bottle of the good stuff' because when Walker blew him off Brendan looked confused at the mixed messages. Kind of reflects what Brendan used to do to Ste early on especially. I think either Walker will make a move if he thinks he's losing Brendan's trust, or else Brendan will make a move on Walker as a test. If Walker makes a move for that reason it confirms his reasons for doing so. Doesn't tell us anything if Brendan does as Walker may either be going along with it because he has to or really want to (although it would be a bit obvious to Brendan if he really wasn't UP for it)
And yes please take the spoiler to the BB thread. It was def in either Inside Soap, All About Soap or Soaplife as I skim read all Oaks news in WHS this morning. Must have been in the 'next 2 week' sections. As Dec isn't around for long think it must be pre-two-hander but not sure.

Oh hey, that's an interesting parallel with the way Brendan used to play with Ste. I've thought a few times that Walker is treating Brendan the way he's treated other people, and it sort of shows him who he is. But yeah, you're right, he did used to pick Ste up and then drop him, to show him who was boss.

Oh, Brendan was so up for it when he cracked open that bottle. And there was another time when he asked Walker what he was up to as well, and Walker shot off to sort out some business. How far Walker might go to keep Brendan's trust ... I guess we might find out.

I kind of think the whole point of Walker is to do to Brendan what Brendan has done to otjers, to show Brendan the error of his ways. Wasn't Brendan meant to change irreversably before Later? Walker is the catalyst for that but I have to say I haven't really noticed much real change in him...
