So there a jobsworth employed to check outfits meet some pre requisite standard ? And how does this check go ? Although I would think she would pass as she looks like a granny pants type of girl

The press would never lie to sell more papers everything's usual gospel, especially from Samantha Brick.

I doubt anyone has the specific job. But there will be stewards who will decide whether someone should be admitted. Much the same as for the "plebs" - if a guy were to show up topless, wearing Adidas popper trackies and a pair of trainers then he might find it difficult to get in!

For the first time this year there was actually an official guide for members of the All England Club on how they should dress.

Same

I look at the pictures then read the 'best rated'/worst rated' comment. The comments are awesome!

I dont get all this media stuff thes days of calling them Kate Duchess of Cambridge and Sophie Countess of Wessex etc . They are officially HRH the Duchess of Cambridge and HRH the Countess of Wessex.

Their first names are only used in that fashion after divorce when they keep their former title as a Surname as did Diana, Diana Princess of Wales, she was no longer The Princess of Wales.

I think Kate is very beautiful but typical rich spoilt girl who has never worked for anything in her life. I think the PR Dept of the Palace are working over-time trying to present Wills and Kate as "just one of us" going on about their cottage in Wales when in actual fact it is a huge farm house! The fact is Harry and William circulate with a group of people who are all fabulously rich, into Fox Hunting (sadly, ghastly "sport") and I doubt if they have ever had any kind of meaningful friendship with anyone who didn't come from a similar background as themselves, super rich! I wish the Palace would stop giving us constant reports about Kate and Camilla. It is getting rather sickening to read some of these articles, I just do not bother any more. If I hear any more about their marvelous wonderful friendship I puke!!

Oh FOR GOD SAKE!!! It is 2012, who cares??? Really I just do not understand people who tie themselves up in knots about titles, names, Kate will always be Kate, just as Diana was always Lady Di!!!!!!!!!

Agreed...but it'll get even more irritating when Kate gets pregnant...

Been reading this - some harsh comments about Kate being lazy and a scrounger and never worked in her life etc.

My point being , if the media is going to use their titles then use them correctly or just use their first names , but as journalists it would be nice if for once they got it right, I am fed up with shoddy journalism. What people call them themselves is up to them.

I agree journalism today is horrendous. BUT I think it is more important to confirm their facts before publication than what title they give someone. I find it just downright disgusting how often comments from "friends" are printed worldwide only to be denied in a matter of days. It seems if you use the term "from friends" you can print anything you like about anyone!! Sometimes in the same article comments contradict each other. Look at the Kate/Tom divorce. Friends say it is due to religion and Kate's own lawyer tells the media, the divorce has nothing to do with Scientology!!!!!! Just one example. Anything and everything is printed to sell newspapers and truth got lost along the way.

I don't really get the impression that Beatrice or Eugenie would be so snobby, to be honest. They come across as the more down to earth of the family. More likely to be the Queen to uphold tradition than then the younger generation, imo.

There's ample proof here that I have no time for Kate Middleton, but that website takes royal arselicking and snobbery against her to new heights! Rich freeloader marries into the ultimate family of rich freeloaders who, in the 21st century, still expect to have people bow and scrape to them. And worse again... there's people who do!

I am sure you are right but what about their Father the DoY ? I can see him butting in and saying that if she has to curtsey to Anne and Alexandra then she should to his daughters

I agree. Beatrice and Eugenie get a lot of flack, but I've never seen anything to suggest they're anything other than pleasant girls.
