Urgh I hate, hate Ugg boots, there's nothing more enraging than a person walking slowly in front of you and dragging the worn out heels of their Uggs! The cheap, riff off ones are the worst, but I don't like the real ones either. They crease with wear, making you look like you have elephant legs. There's just nothing elegant about them!

Most don't have real Uggs.I brought some of the bailey button but i only wear them in the house now as slippers. I wish i had Emus they are better.

why on earth do people wear them in the rain? They must have soggy feet and after spending all that money on the boots it must ruin them.

you'll be quite suprised that they actually keep your feet dry in the rain.

Really? Won't the rain damage the boots though?

mine got absolutely soaked the other week, and they were damp on outside for quite a while after, but still bone dry inside. When they have dried completely, I give them a quick wipe with kitchen towl and they look good as new.

They are actually very hard wearing, being the footwear of choice for farmers, surfers and Anzac forces in times gone by.

I sling mine in the washing machine at 40 degrees and peg them out on the line

I've washed mine at least 4 times. They always come out fine. Just a gentle wash on a low temperature (no fabric softner) and a nice sun/air dry on the line. They come out like new.

Ugg is not a brand, it is a style of boot. Emu is a brand name and I, like some other posters, think Emus are better than those branded with the name "Ugg", which derives from the term 'ugly boot'.
