Kindle books missing

I have purchased a couple of books directly from my Kindle, and they downloaded there fine. But when I went into Amazon's "Manage your Kindle", they were not listed in my library.

Does this mean that if I have to reset my Kindle (this was all because I had forgotten my password) that I would have to repurchase these books? Or can I somehow sync the online account to the device account?

Thanks!

How did you purchase the books, using another Amazon account? If the books were purchased from the same account it should not matter if it was from the web browser or Kindle, they should be all visible as your digital purchases. If it was a different one you could try to contact Amazon support and tell them you have now 2 accounts and would want to move the books from one account to another. Using the same billing address and credit card it should not be a problem.

It could be something like that because whenever I log into amazon.com it "steals" my Kindle registration, and I have to reset it back to .co.uk. But the two books in question were definitely purchased from .co.uk.....

I guess I'll drop them a line. Ta.
