Actors/actresses that deserved bigger roles?

Anyone like to share their thoughts on an actor or actress who deserved a bigger or longer role in the soaps?

Sean Slater had much more to give as a character.

Really liked Tegan in Home and Away. They need a female bitchy troublemaker and it would have been an interesting dynamic with her,Heath and Brax.

David Wicks should have stayed as a permanent character when he returned for Pats death.

Well a sort of Semi-Regular role. Tracey has been in the show since day one she deserves a decent storyline of her own. Winston has been in the show for 24 years, i'd like for him to do something more!

That's just my opinion

Vanessa Gold

Complete waste of potential - Zoe Lucker clearly wasn't happy with the direction of the character either

Had Vanessa been more like Tanya Turner it would have been amazing!

But then Tanya maybe woulda been out of place in Walford! but I loved Vanessa towards the end and she's one they coulda done more with and feels like a waste when she left as opposed to this character's useless has done the time and has nowhere else to go.

More coulda been done with V!

But that's not the point. They are extras, the people playing them aren't really "actors", they get paid to fill the background.

But being there so long they get a little line every now and then. Or in Tracy's case, get a punch in the face by Sam. lol

I feel for Tracey, Winston etc.

I don't know they're maybe being paid really well and probably are but I personally would want a bigger role and feel a bit empty after being in it all these years and not doing much.

It'd be nice to see them made regular and hey who knows Winston could have a dark secret or maybe Tracey has been poisoning underage drinkers for years.

^^^^ I don't think Eastenders is their main job. The woman who plays Tracy runs a school for dancing or something. Their job is to be an extra, they're not really "actors".

Edit - Just looked her up on wikipedia. Lmao.

Did Tracy sleep with Dennis Rickman? It says he passed her knickers back to her in public in the Vic? lol

I personally think if extras were made into main characters they would be ruined...

But I agree that Vanessa had a bucket load of potential, and this is coming from someone who wasn't very fond of the character!

I think if you were an extra though a part of you would probably want a big role!

I think it's human nature!

Dennis and Tracey? Hey who knows! Probably!

'Wardy' and 'Biology Dave' from Hollyoaks both deserve more than just recurring or one off roles!

In the final episode of Eastenders, it will be revealed that Tracey has been working, loyally, courageously and inconspicously, all these years as an undercover police officer, sent into the Vic in an inspired moment by her then superior, the legendary Detective Sergeant Fat B'Stard.

The entire series comes to an abrupt end when the square is cordoned off by the Met, and every single character arrested and charged with the endless list of offences and misdemeanours they have committed during the show's long run.

The show's producers, directors and writers are shipped to The Hague, where they are collectively charged with crimes against humanity.

Naomi Campbell is the star witness against them.

Two weeks later, DS Fat B'Stard manages to prise himself out of his car and grab his bull-horn, but it is too late.

The scene is one of desolation, and the final shot, taken from a rising helicopter, is of the considerable but now forlorn figure of the tragic B'Stard, receding to a dot among the mean streets of Walford as he gets his final and belated Duff Duff (or perhaps a specially composed B'Stard's theme).

For those unfamiliar with the legendary flatfoot DS Fat B'Stard, here is a clip of his finest, indeed only, arrest.

Superb! That's the very fellow, 43 seconds in (so to speak)

Thing is, I fall about laughing watching a prile of scuffers breaking the door in having no probs three abreast getting in then this giant corporation hoves into view lmfao!
I thought I'd capture that moment and maybe titivate it but it stands alone as being hilarious neat!
This is the sort of thing that if it drops into my mind will make me laugh out loud wherever I am,. I think it's your naming him DS Fat B'tard that did it. That and him actually being a fat b'stard. Too much lol!

Try not to think of it during confession.

Concentrate instead on Anthony Minghella.

A case of a Prile of Scuffers being trumped by a Full House.
