I bought my daughter Jedwards new album, 'Young Love' and I've got to say, it's really good and not what I expected.
People should give it a listen and they would be suprised too.

It's bizarre because I could not stand Jedward on the X-Factor - but now I find myself actually liking them. I downloaded a few tracks and was also v impressed! Good for them.

I can't stand them as they annoy me but I thought they were really good at Eurovision with Waterline and deserved more points than they got. Lipstick was good too.

Ireland's 'Hot Press' magazine, the equivalent of NME in the UK, gave the album a glowing review so it seems they're winning over a lot of new fans.

I've found myself going from guilty pleasure to a proper Jedhead hahaha! Can't Forget You is an amazing song, one of my favourite songs this year

Young Love is an amazing album. I'm a massive fan, but musically they've always been a guilty pleasure until this album. I've been listening to it non-stop since I bought it.

If you're considering buying it, I highly recommend the deluxe version - usually this is just a money-making exercise but two of the three extra songs on it are just amazing (Never Better and Cool Heroes, despite the terrible name!)

I completely agree with you. I'm lucky that we are allowed to wear headphones and listen to music in the job I do. I've had the Young Love album on loop all week.
I think Luminous has to be my favourite Can't Forget You has to be my close second favourite.
They've won me over. It's a shame they don't get more airplay or tv time as I really think this album is amazing and alot of people would change their negative thoughts about Jedward if they listened to it.

Indeed. I listened to the YouTube link against my better judgment and it was just what I expected. No harm in enjoying them but the thread title made out that they were going to pleasantly surprise me. They didn't.

That's a great track, one of the very best on the album : a retro American sound and not at all what you'd expect to hear Jedward singing.

I thought it was really good and ideal for Eurovision. It was a good fun pop song without being too cheesy.

I usually buy deluxe versions of albums from my favourite artists if they have extra songs on them. I bought the deluxe version of Britney's Femme Fatale because it had the extra songs and I'm glad I did as they are some of my favourites from the album.

Deadly serious : they're regarded as a "talentless novelty act" by the British media of course, but have hired top class Swedish songwriters and producers for their last two albums, and even music critics say they are pleasantly surprised by how good their material is

Young Love is my favourite album of 2012 so far!

How Did You Know and What It Feels like are the best songs IMO, Jedward ballads! And they're actually fantastic

Not everyone has bought into the X Factor script of them being a talentless and tone deaf novelty act : they've just released their THIRD album which has already charted in six European countries.

Actually Jedward do have a big following. They have grown up alot since the Xfactor days.
I was really suprised by the new album. I gave it a listen to keep my daughter happy and got hooked on it.
They've moved along since the early days.

I totally agree with you all. I am a 29 year old man and I think their music is great pop music.

If you don't think we're being serious you can play the album for free on spotify and see for yourself, no matter how annoying they are as people/celebrities the actual songs are really catchy and quite good.

I absolutely love Give It Up, Luminous and Girl Like You. They're exactly what pure pop is. I like it, they remind me of Busted/Mcfly/Shampoo/Spice Girls - just fun pop music with fun beats and lyrics.

I find myself have more respect for them as artists now as well, their confidence is amazing but I noticed they make their own videos to their songs and I've seen the video of one of them playing guitar and he was really good at it, so good on them!!

Part of the reason they've taken people by surprise is that they've earned so much money, they've been able to hire top class songwriters and producers. They must have an ear for a good song too, as rumour has it they handpicked many of the tracks on the album.
